Former Oklahoma, Colorado, New England Patriots and New Jersey Generals head coach Chuck Fairbanks passed away Tuesday at age 79. Our condolences are with his family.
Nevada: Former NFL wide receiver Ashley Lelie has joined the Nevada program as an offensive quality control assistant. Sources tell us he will be a graduate assistant this fall.
East Tennessee State: The newly formed football program has landed College Football Hall of Fame coach Phillip Fulmer to serve the program in a so far untitled role. "I'll be whatever they need me to be," he told Josh Smith of WJHL.
Johnson C. Smith (D-II - NC): JCSU is still seeking a home game (Charlotte, NC) on November 9, 2013. Will do a 2 year contract if possible, but willing to do 1 year deal. Looking for D2 opponents. If interested, please contact Coach Steven Aycock at saycock@jcsu.edu.
Florida: Sources tell us that former Kentucky grad assistant, and former FootballScoop GA of the Day, Kyle Krantz has accepted a grad assistant position at Florida.
Austin Peay: Athletic director Dave Loos has decided to step down, but will remain men's basketball coach.

St. Ambrose (NAIA - IA): St. Ambrose University, located in Davenport, Iowa is seeking a graduate assistant to coach the Defensive Line. The position includes tuition and a stipend. Looking for applicants that have a passion for coaching and the energy to perform all the duties associated with being a full-time coach. Candidates with previous defensive line coaching experience and/or Hudl experience a plus. Missouri Western State (D-II - MO): Sources tell us that Joel Beard has been added to the staff as an assistant coach. Beard previously coached the receivers at Southeast Missouri (FCS).
Colorado: Defensive coordinator Kent Baer is close to finalizing a multi-year contract. When finalized, Baer will be just the second assistant in program history to receive a multi-year deal.
William Jewell (D-II - MO): Former Rams linebackers coach Blake Williams has been hired as a defensive consultant and will also work with the linebackers. Trent Figg, who coached the linebackers last season, will now coach the secondary.
South Dakota: Sources tell us the Wisconsin - Whitewater linebackers coach Jace Rindahl has accepted the grad assistant job at South Dakota working with the running backs.
Missouri Southern (D-II): Sources tell us that Chandler Tygard has accepted the defensive line job. Tygard coached the defensive line at the University of the Cumberlands (NAIA - KY) last season.
Louisville: Former quarterback Will Stein is now a grad assistant on Charlie Strong's staff.

Jack Pardee, a former Texas A&M and NFL player and head coach of the University of Houston as well as five professional teams, passed away Monday at 76. He is a member of the College Football Hall of Fame, the Texas Sports Hall of Fame and the Texas High School Football Hall of Fame. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
Gallaudet University (D-III - Washington, DC): Gallaudet is now seeking applicants for a defensive (linebackers or safety’s) restricted earnings position. Must possess an accredited bachelor’s degree, valid driver’s license, and have previous collegiate or high school coaching experience: Proficiency in or strong willingness to learn American Sign Language. Duties to include coaching own position, recruiting a territory, and other duties as assigned by the Head Coach and Athletic Director. Compensation will be stipend of 8,000-10,000 for 9 month contract, Apartment on campus, and some meals. Avila (NAIA - MO): We have learned that Valley City State (NAIA - ND) offensive line coach Paul Charbonneau has joined the Avila staff as offensive line coach and will also have the title of assistant head coach.
Itawamba (CC - MS): Sources tell us that former FIU tight ends coach Dennis Smith has joined the Itawamba staff as receivers coach,.
Bowling Green: Sources tell us that former Washington director of football ops Dennis Slutak will become the DFO at Bowling Green.

Northern Arizona: As we told you nearly two months ago, Tim Plough has now officially joined the staff as receivers coach.
Northwest Community College (MS): Former head coach Ricky Woods has accepted the head coaching job at Peabody HS (Trenton, TN).
East Central (D-II - OK): Sources tell us that Randy Pippin has been hired as defensive coordinator. Pippin was the defensive coordinator at East Texas Baptist (D-III).
Tennessee Tech: Former Purdue outside linebackers coach Donn Landholm is the new linebackers coach / special teams coordinator at Tennessee Tech.
Saint Anselm (D-II - NH): Head coach Patrick Murphy has shuffled his coaching staff around a bit. Jimmy Lauzon, who had been coaching the tight ends, will now coach the running backs. Allistair Sebastien will coach the defensive backs after coaching the running backs for two seasons, and Yon Boone will now coach the linebackers and has added the title of special teams coordinator and recruiting coordinator after coaching the defensive backs last season.
Missouri Baptist: Missouri Baptist has hired former McKendree University (D-II - IL) defensive backs coach / special teams coordinator Jason Burianek as their first head coach. The program will compete at the NAIA level in 2014.

Georgia State: Former Georgia State assistant Ryan Zimmerman has been named head coach at Mount Vernon Presbyterian HS (GA).

Mal Moore, a former player, coach and athletic director at Alabama, passed away this morning at age 73. Our condolences are with his family.
Lafayette: We hear the wide receivers position at Lafayette College has been filled.
Cornell: Satyen Bhakta will coach inside linebackers and Greg Jones will coach defensive backs. Last year's defensive backs coach Emani Fenton has joined the Kansas City Chiefs' coaching staff.
Worcester Polytechnic Institute (D-III - MA): Sources tell us Anthony Fucillo has accepted the quarterbacks coaching job at WPI. He previously served as an assistant at Stone Hill and Amherst.
Tulane: Purdue assistant director of sports performance Jeffery Earls has accepted the assistant director of strength and conditioning position at Tulane. Earls previously worked on strength and conditioning staffs at LSU, Gayle Hatch Weightlifting Team, Texas and with the Oakland Raiders.
Montana State: Daniel DaPrato has been announced as Montana State's special teams coordinator and tight ends coach. He most recently served in a similar capacity at Sacramento State.

Eastern Illinois (FCS): Sources tell us that St. Clair Shores South Lake High School head coach Chanterious Brock will join the EIU staff as defensive backs coach.
East Tennessee State announced today it will officially reinstate its football program after a decade-long absence.
Cornell: Sources tell us that Colorado School of Mines (D-II) defensive line coach Satyen Bhakta has joined the Cornell staff.
Bethel College (NAIA - KS): Bethel College, located in Newton, KS has an opening for Graduate Assistant. The successful candidate must be proficient in HUDL and will serve as the video coordinator/position coach. This 12-month position will pay $3,000 a year with room and board (no tuition stipend). Bethel also has openings for two part time assistant coaches ($2,000 stipend each). Georgia Military (CC): Sources tell us that Troy Shaffer has joined the staff as corners coach.
Bethany College (NAIA - KS): Manny Matsakis has made a few hires to his staff. Former Southern Oregon (NAIA) defensive line coach Michael Starkey has joined the staff and will serve as defensive line coach and director of player personnel, former Carroll College (NAIA - MT) defensive backs coach Jarrod Wirt will serve as defensive coordinator, and Steve Tapely will coordinate the special teams and coach the offensive line.
Methodist (D-II - NC): Head coach Dave Eavenson has announced that he is stepping down and he will become the assistant director of athletics. With Eavenson's move, associate head coach and defensive coordinator CJ Goss has been named head coach.
Merrimack (D-II - MA): Sources tell us that former WPI (D-III - MA) quarterbacks coach Andrew Dresner is now coaching the quarterbacks at Merrimack. We hear Dresner will also serve as recruiting coordinator.

Kutztown (D-II - PA): Marcel Quarterman has joined the staff as defensive backs coach. Quarterman spent the past four years at Lafayette College as an offensive assistant, working with the receivers.
