College of the Canyons: Offensive line coach Jason Youngs has accepted the same position at Warren Central HS in Ohio.  Warren Central HS is one of the premier programs in the state of Ohio.

University of Memphis: The University of Memphis has extended the contract of head coach Tommy West through 2012. 


Jacksonville State University: is seeking to fill the position of Football Video Coordinator.  This is a Graduate Assistant position for which the candidate will receive a scholarship covering 100% tuition, books as well as room and board.  The candidate will also receive a small work study stipend.  The Video Coordinator will oversee all video responsibilities for the JSU football program.  These responsibilities include the daily organization of all video staff, filming all practices and games, capturing all video in the software system, exchanging film with opponents, making video clips per coaches' requests as well as the troubleshooting and maintenance of all video equipment.  The ideal candidate is a college graduate with experience filming and editing college sports.  Experience with LRS Sports Software (or another Sports Editing System) is preferred, but not required.  To be considered for this position, please email or fax a cover letter and resume.  <This email address is being protected from spambots. Crown College: Jake Carr has been hired as the new offensive coordinator.  Carr previously coached the quarterbacks at Bethel College.  Chris Burke has been promoted from defensive line coach to defensive coordinator.  Also, former Bethel College player Jamie Wagner has been hired as defensive graduate assistant.


The Catholic University of America: is an NCAA Division III member that competes in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference for Football. CUA currently offers 21 intercollegiate sports with nearly 400 participants and recently completed construction of a new turf field. This position is a 12 month full time appointment reporting to the Head Football Coach. The Assistant Coach will be responsible for assisting the Head Coach in all aspects of administering the football program, including coaching, recruiting, and public affairs, with specific coaching duties related to coaching the offensive line and coordinating the strength and conditioning program for the athletic department.  Secondary responsibilities include providing staffing assistance in the equipment room . The successful candidate must demonstrate a significant knowledge of football, proven success in recruiting and coaching football, and a strong commitment to the academic success of student-athletes.  Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree.  Please, no phone calls. Duke University: Tom Long hired as head video coordinator for football.  Long, a former video assistant with the Washington Redskins, joins the Blue Devil program after working for XOS Technologies, Inc., in the technical support field. He is a 2004 graduate of Maryland where he served as a video assistant for football.

Ohio University: Ohio University has signed head coach Frank Solich to a five-year contract extension through 2013.  The Bobcats finished 6-6 last season. Solich led the team to the GMAC Bowl the previous season.


Kenyon College: invites applications for the position of Assistant  Football Coach. This is a 10-month reporting position with full benefits.  Kenyon College, a highly selective liberal arts college of 1650  students, is a Division III member of the NCAA and is a founding member of the North Coast Athletic Conference. The Citadel: Head coach Kevin Higgins has signed a five-year contract extension that will run through 2013.  Higgins led The Citadel to an impressive 7-4 overall record last season, going 4-3 in the Southern Conference.  In three seasons, Higgins is now 16-17 as the head football coach at The Citadel.

Portland State: Jesse Thompson has been hired to coach the running backs at Portland State.  Thompson spent last season as the running backs coach at Northern State University.

North Carolina: Former Mississippi State graduate assistant, Paul Gonnella, has been hired as the director of player personnel at UNC. 

North Carolina A&T: John McKenzie will be the offensive coordinator.  Tayrone Odums will assume the responsibility of defensive coordinator.  Myron Jackson named defensive line coach.  Chris Robinson named outside linebackers coach.

Samford University: Joe Sicolla hired as director of football operations.  Sicolla previously served as an assistant coach at Gulf Shores High School in Alabama.

UW-Stevens Point:  Mike Heffernan hired as offensive line coach / recruiting coordinator.  Heffernan coached the defensive line at Northern State in 2007.  Also, Casey Morgan and Nick Venden have been hired as graduate assistant coaches. 

Washington Redskins: Veteran coach Don Breaux is retiring after 27 years due to a heart condition. Breaux spent 17 years coaching in Washington.
