Southeastern Oklahoma State University: (NCAA Division II Lone Star Conference) located in Durant, OK has an immediate opening for an Offensive Graduate Assistant. The Offensive Graduate Assistant will be primarily responsible for the Running Back Position. The successful candidate will be required to work 20 hours a week in the Student Development Center assisting student athletes in their pursuit of higher education. Duties include working with new and current undergraduate student athletes to make the transition into university living, provide academic enrollment support, identify academic and career options, and generally achieve academic success.  The successful candidate will work with incoming students athletes to assist with admissions process.  The position requires a highly motivated person to assist with the implementation of practices, evaluation of prospective student athletes, off and on campus recruiting, scouting opponents, event management, fund raising, facilities management, and other duties as assigned by the head coach.  Graduate Assistantships are granted based upon acceptance into Graduate School at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. This is a 10 month reporting position with a $500.00 stipend per month ($5000.00 total) and 6 hours paid tuition per semester toward degree completion.  Minimum Requirements: 1) An overall undergraduate grade-point average of at least 2.75 based on the 4.00 scale. 2) Application for Admission to the M. Ed. Program 3) Three letters of Recommendation 4) GRE: the successful applicant would have a minimum score of 700 (verbal +quantitative) and take the analytical writing measure (no minimum score required; for admission and advising use only) 5) Successful completion of a writing sample or a minimum score of 4.5 on the analytical writing measure of the GRE 6) Applicant must also demonstrate evidence of eligibility to hold a teaching certification. Students who are not certified at the time of application have one calendar year to complete necessary requirements for Alternative Placement in the state of Oklahoma.   Deadline to Apply is December 1, 2008 - Position Start Day Is: January 14, 2009. Monday  October 27, 2008  (Breaking News)

University of Washington: Tyrone Willingham announced during Monday's weekly press conference that he will step down at the end of the season.  Expect for new University of Washington athletic director, Scott Woodward, to have an interest in Will Muschamp (Texas DC) and/or Derek Dooley (LA Tech HC).  Woodward served as an assistant athletic director at LSU while Muschamp and Dooley were on staff with the Tiger's 2003 national championship team.

Buffalo Bills: The Buffalo Bills and head coach Dick Jauron have agreed to a three-year contract extension yhat will keep Jauron in Buffalo through 2011. 

Toronto Argonauts: Brad Miller has been hired as the new linebackers coach.  Miller previously served as the defensive line coach in Montreal in 2006 and 2007.  Before coaching in Montreal, Miller served on the Green Bay Packers staff from 2001-2005 as a defensive assistant and special teams assistant.

South Carolina: South Carolina has extended the contract of defensive coordinator Ellis Johnson through 2011.  In his first season at South Carolina, Johnson currently has the 6th ranked total defense in the country, allowing only 256 average yards per game.  Johnson is making an annual salary of $350,000.
