Georgia Tech: Athletic director Dan Radokovich has met with head coach Paul Johnson about improving the contract of the first year head coach.

Kansas State: Sources tell FootballScoop that Bill Snyder is interested in hiring Arizona assistant coach Dana Dimel.  Dimel coaches the running backs and tight ends at the University of Arizona.

Miami (OH): We hear Miami (OH) is very interested in Harvard University head coach Tim Murphy. 

Northwestern State: We hear Louisiana College head coach Dennis Dunn is in the mix of 5-10 legitimate candidates. 

San Diego State: It appears San Diego State has narrowed its search to Dennis Franchione and UCLA defensive coordinator DeWayne Walker.  We hear that Mike Martz of the San Francisco 49ers did express interest in the job.

Yale: Sources tell FootballScoop that Yale has contacted NY Giants quarterbacks coach Chris Palmer to gauge his interest in the head coaching position.

Youngstown State:  Assistant Coach, Football (.75 FTE),DEPARTMENT:  Intercollegiate Athletics. SALARY RANGE: Z2. INITIAL SALARY:  Commensurate with education and experience.  MINIMUM UALIFICATIONS:. achelor's degree required; Minimum one year experience of collegiate football videography coordination with working knowledge of linear and digital technologies and proficiency in computer use required. Bowling Green: We hear that former Tennessee offensive coordinator and Richmond head coach Dave Clawson has spoken with Bowling Green.

Illinois State: Georgia State offensive coordinator John Bond and Georgia Tech assistant Jeff Monken are interviewing this week, but we hear Central Arkansas head coach Clint Conque is at the top of the Illinois State list.

UNLV: Head coach Mike Sanford has agreed to a 3 year contract extension.  Sanford recently finished 5-7 in his third season as UNLV head coach.

Utah State: We hear the Weber State assistants Kevin Clune and Chad Kauha'aha'a will join the Utah State staff.  Clune is expected to coach the linebackers.  Kauha'aha'a is expected to coach the defensive line.  

Winnipeg Blue Bombers (CFL): Edmonton Eskimos wide receivers coach Mike Kelly has been named head football coach of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.  Kelly served as the co-offensive coordinator at Winnipeg from 1992-1996.

Yale: Sources tell us that former Tennessee offensive coordinator Dave Clawson has interviewed for the head coaching position at Yale.  We also hear that Yale would like to interview Florida assistant Steve Addazio.
Monday December 8, 2008  (Update 4)

Bentley College: We hear Thom Boermann has been named head football coach.  Boermann was serving as the interim head coach. 

Tennessee: Phillip Fulmer has been named special assistant to the president John Peterson.

Virginia: Defensive coordinator Bob Pruett will now become assistant head coach / special teams coordinator / linebackers coach.  Special teams coordinator / linebackers coach Bob Diaco will become defensive coordinator.  Running backs coach Anthony Poindexter will become the new secondary coach.  With Mike Groh, Steve Bernstein, and Levern Belin not returning to the staff, it appears that Al Groh is looking to hire an offensive coordinator, running backs coach, and defensive line coach.

Kansas State: As FootballScoop first reported, former Clemson defensive coordinator Vic Koenning has officially joined the staff at Kansas State.  Koenning has been named assistant head coach / co-defensive coordinator. 

UT-Chattanooga: Former Ottawa Renegades coach John Jenkins is not in the mix.

Western Carolina: We hear there is opening a defensive line opening at Western Carolina.

Yale: Sources tell FootballScoop that Yale is very interested in UMASS head coach Don Brown.

Alabama State: FootballScoop has learned that that Alabama State had made contact with Jo Nixon about the vacant defensive coordinator position.  Nixon serves as defensive coordinator at Langston University. 

New Mexico: Sources tell FootballScoop that Illinois offensive coordinator Mike Locksley has accepted the head coaching job at New Mexico.

Wyoming: We hear that New Mexico State defensive line coach Mike Fanoga will join the staff at Wyoming.  It also appears that Wyoming linebackers coach Marty English will become the new defensive coordinator on Dave Christensen's staff.

Yale: Sources tell FootballScoop that Yale has reached out to former Washington head coach Tyrone Willingham.
