University of Minnesota: Offensive line coach Phil Meyer has resigned to pursue other opportunities.

Eastern Michigan: Jeff Genyk has been dismissed as head coach from Eastern Michigan University.  Athletic director Derrick Gragg informed Genyk of his decision this morning.  The school has announced that Lloyd Carr will serve as an unpaid consultant for the next hire.

New Mexico: FootballScoop has learned that a representative at New Mexico has contacted Kansas City Chiefs assistant Curtis Modkins about the head coaching position.  Modkins is currently serving as the running backs coach on Herm Edward’s staff.

Illinois State: Georgia State offensive coordinator John Bond is the leading candidate for the head coaching position at Illinois State.  Bond is the former offensive coordinator at Northern Illinois and Georgia Tech.

Kansas State: Bill Snyder will be named head coach this morning.  Expect Clemson defensive coordinator Vic Koenning to join Snyder's staff. 

Toledo: No candidates have formally interviewed as of Friday.  FootballScoop has confirmed that University of Arizona defensive coordinator Mark Stoops is very interested in the job.  We hear that Toledo is very interested in Stoops and Missouri defensive coordinator Mark Eberflus. 

Utah State: UCLA defensive coordinator DeWayne Walker is expected to interview for the head coaching position at Utah State.  Also, Utah State has already contacted John L. Smith.

Sunday November 23, 2008  (Update 4)

Kansas State: The Wichita Eagle Newspaper is reporting that Bill Snyder will be named head coach on Monday.  The report states that Snyder is expected to sign a five-year contract worth $1.8 million per year.

Illinois State: Denver Johnson has resigned as head football coach.  Johnson served as the head coach at Illinois State for 9 season.  The Red Birds finished 3-8 this season.
