Former Morehead State, Maine and Ohio head coach Tom Lichtenberg passed away over the weekend at age 72. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. 

Maine Maritime Academy (D-III): MMA Currently has Intern Positions available. The successful candidate will possess previous college playing and/or coaching experience. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, coaching a position, assisting in practice and game planning, video breakdown and analysis with DVSport and Hudl, recruiting, and academic oversight. Missouri Valley College (NAIA): Missouri Valley is seeking applicants for offensive graduate assistant. This position will include graduate tuition, room and board. No stipend. Jersey Coast Academy (JC - NJ): JCA seeks enthusiastic and qualified candidates for: Running Backs Coach, Def. Backs / Quality-Control Coach and two Program Interns. Prefer applicants based in Central or South Jersey, available for AM practices, possess a bachelor's degree and have, at least, 3 years of HS coaching experience. This is a 5-month part-time, stipend-paying position starting August 1st with regular contact by phone / email during the next two months. Responsibilities include: coaching position group, scouting/film breakdown (Hudl), recruiting and program development. Interns will assist with equipment management and several game-day duties. Stetson (FCS): Stetson University is looking for a running backs coach. The position is a ten-month non-benefitted position with a stipend of $6,800. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. Previous college coaching and recruiting experience are preferred. Working knowledge of video and recruiting software, as well as other computer softwares (Word, Excel, etc) and social media is required. Position available starting July 28, 2013. Louisiana - Monroe: The Warhawks' have received more than 40 applicants for their vacant athletic director position according to the Monroe News-Star. The school hopes to have a new AD in place by August 1. 

Ellsworth (CC - IA): Ellsworth Community College is seeking a Defensive Line Coach and Defensive Backs Coach. The ideal candidates will have football coaching and/or playing experience at the collegiate level. This is a stipend position with a compensation range of $3,000 to $12,000 (10 months), plus room and board. Associate degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Hawaii: Secondary coach Daronte Jones will work with the Houston Texans as part of the Bill Walsh Minority Fellowship.

Arkansas State: The four graduate assistants at Arkansas State this fall will be Kyle Cefalo, Gerald Alexander, Thomas Bird and Colin Hitschler.

Colorado: Associate AD for student services, and senior woman administrator, Ceal Barry will serve as interim director of intercollegiate athletics.

Pacific: Pacific announced today the hiring of Matt Wade as co-offensive coordinator / quarterbacks. Wade spent the past seven seasons at UC Davis. 

Delta State (D-II - MS): Southeastern Louisiana student assistant Jake Zbydniewski has accepted a grad assistant position at Delta State. 

Arkansas Tech: Sources tell us Southern Arkansas offensive line coach Georgeio Milam has accepted the same position at Arkansas Tech. 

Detroit Lions: Freshly-retired offensive lineman Jeff Backus will work as a part-time coaching intern with the offensive line this offseason. 

Southern Arkansas (D-II): Southern Arkansas is seeking a full time Offensive Line coach and Strength and Conditioning Coordinator. Experience recruiting student athletes and coaching the offensive line preferred. Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree, Working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations, experience with Hudl, and previous experience with strength and conditioning. Georgia Southern (FCS): Sources tell us Auburn director of player personnel Chad Lunsford will join the Georgia Southern staff as receivers coach / recruiting coordinator. 

Southern Arkansas (D-II): Southern Arkansas is seeking a Graduate Assistant WR coach. Previous experience coaching or playing WR is necessary. Must have a cumulative undergraduate GPA of 2.75. The successful applicant must have excellent computer skills and the ability to work long hours. Iowa Western (CC): Iowa Western Community College is seeking offensive or defensive assistant position. This is a stipend position that includes housing and meal plan. Tentative start date of July 1 and will be responsible for coaching a position, recruiting, film breakdown, and additional duties given by the head coach. Position that the candidate will be assigned to coach will be based on the knowledge of the position. Candidates must have knowledge of Hudl. Juniata (D-III - PA): Juniata College is seeking qualified applicants for an intern level position as assistant football coach. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree, a valid driver’s license, and playing experience at the collegiate level. Preference will be given to applicants with experience coaching and/or playing.Experience with Hudl/DSV digital editing system is a plus. This position has a starting date of August 1, 2013. Albany: Albany Football is looking for a video intern to assist with game transfers and video analysis during the academic year. The person in this position will be responsible for managing the team’s video department which includes; filming practices and games, editing video for coaches, managing CAA video exchange, and overseeing student workers to film games and practices. Applicants should have prior video experience with either DVSport, XO’s or LRS EDGE video editing platforms. Harding (D-II - AR): Offensive coordinator Lee Edwards will transition to a volunteer role and Kevin Chism, who spent the 2010 and 2011 seasons as a grad assistant and last year as a volunteer coach working with the offensive line, has been promoted to offensive line coach. Head coach Ronnie Huckeba has announced that the offense will be coordinated by a collective effort from the offensive staff next season.

Ohio State: Indiana defensive grad assistant Bryant Haines has accepted the defensive grad assistant position at Ohio State. 

Savannah State (FCS - GA): Four finalists for the open head coaching position will visit campus this week. The finalists are John Hendrick, Earnest Wilson, E.J. Junior and Mickey Joseph. Hendrick is the special teams coordinator at Alabama State. Wilson is offensive coordinator at Hampton. Junior is head coach at Central State and Mickey Joseph is the former head coach at Langston who recently joined the Alcorn State staff as receivers coach.

Today, a special thank you goes out to those that have served (or are currently serving) our country. Happy Memorial Day everyone.

Kennesaw State (FCS - GA): Head coach Brett Bohannon has hired Brett Gilliland as the team's quarterbacks and B-backs coach according to Doug Roberson of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Gilliland coached B-backs at Georgia Southern in 2010, tight ends and tackles in 2011 and wide receivers last season. Before that, Gilliland worked with Bohannon at Georgia Tech from 2006-09. The hire is Bohannon's sixth for the brand new program. 

Wyoming: Former Wyoming graduate assistant Jared Woodruff has been hired as the head coach at Bradshaw Mountain (Ariz.) High School. 

Alma College (D-III - MI): Matt Hassan, North Park University's (D-III - IL) all time leading rusher, has joined the Alma College staff and will coach the running backs.

Cal: Offensive coordinator Tony Franklin will make $555,000 for the 2013 season and defensive coordinator Andy Buh will earn $505,000. Both coaches have signed three year deals according to the Mercury News.
