SMU: FootballScoop has learned that running backs coach Wes Suan will now coach the offensive line. Offensive line coach Dennis McKnight will move to special teams. Eric Metcalf will coach the running backs.
Gibbs HS (FL): FootballScoop has just learned that former Tampa Bay Bucs defensive back, Donnie Abraham, has accepted the head coaching position.
Dodge City CC: is no longer accepting applications.
Oklahoma: Head coach Bob Stoops has received a contract extension through 2015. Stoops had his contract extended through the 2015 season and will make $3.675 million this coming season. His new contract includes an annual raise of $250,000, a $700,000 stay bonus each July and an additional one-time $800,000 bonus in 2011. If Stoops remains through all seven years, he will make more than $4 million a year in the final five years of the contract and make nearly $5 million in the the 2011 season.
Oregon: FootballScoop has learned that Oregon has yet to fill the offensive GA position.
South Dakota State: We hear there is still a position open on defense and possibly a grad assistant job as well.
Aplington-Parkersburg HS (IA): Very sad news to report this morning out of Iowa. Aplington-Parkersburg High head football coach Ed Thomas has been shot while working with students in the weight room. CNN is now reporting that he has died. Thomas is a legend in Iowa high school football and will be missed by all. Please keep him, his family, players and the entire school and town in your prayers.

Itawamba Community College (MS): Our sources tell us ICC head coach Jeff Terrell has promoted defensive line coach Kenny Jackson to defensive coordinator. Jackson has served the last several years as the defensive line coach / recruiting coordinator at ICC after playing college ball for Ole Miss.
Northwestern: FootballScoop would like to congratulate head coach Pat Fitzgerald on receiving a 7-year contract extension through 2015.
Texas: Our sources are telling us that former Iowa State assistant Jeff Koonz is now back with the Texas Longhorns as defensive quality control. Koonz once served on the Longhorns' staff while Gene Chizik was the defensive coordinator.
Troy: FootballScoop has learned the for Faulkner University head coach, Jim Nichols, will work with the staff at Troy in some capacity. Nichols served as a grad assistant under Tommy Tuberville at Auburn for three seasons before leading the Faulkner program for three seasons.
Valdosta State: West Texas A&M wide receivers coach Mike Nesbitt turned down the opportunity the coach the quarterbacks at Valdosta State. Nesbitt also serves as the recruiting coordinator at West Texas A&M.
Iowa Western Community College: has an opening for assistant football coach. Responsibilities will include coaching own position, working closely with offensive/defensive coordinator, knowledge of special teams play, recruitment of student-athletes, video editing and other duties assigned by the head coach. Alabama: We are hearing that Alabama has hired former Texas A&M employee, Milton Overton, to oversee technology growth and services within athletic department.
Davidson College: We hear former Georgetown University slot receivers coach, Josh Lustig, has accepted the wide receivers job at Davidson University. In 2007, Lusting served as the tight ends coach at Richmond before joining the Georgetown staff.
US Coast Guard Academy: Recent East Carolina graduate, Kurt Von Bragen, has joined the staff as a defensive assistant.
Arkansas Tech University: is looking for a GA to work with offensive line. must have all of the following: a clean driving record or current CDL, experience with the DSV video editing system and have some collegiate offensive line experience. Tennessee: Our sources tell us that Central Florida director of player personnel, Steve Rubio, is leaving the Golden Knights' staff to accept a position under Lane Kiffin at Tennessee. Rubio will serve as the recruiting intern.
Alabama A&M: Former North Carolina A&T assistant coach John McKenzie has accepted the wide receivers position at Alabama A&M.
University of Washington: Former Arizona State tight end, Brent Miller, has accepted the offensive GA position under head coach Steve Sarkisian. Miller will work with the tight ends at UW.

Award Winner: Debo Clark, Founder/Owner of Collegiate Sports Travel was honored on June 11, 2009 with the "Texas Coaching Legend" award at the Angelo Football Clinic in San Angelo, TX. The award was presented to her for her 20 years of dedication and contribution not only to the College Football industry but to the San Angelo Football Clinic as well. In the clinic's 36-year history, Clark was only the 12th person to receive the award as well as being the only woman and only "non-coach" to receive it.
