We are sad to report that Southern Illinois graduate assistant Cory Warren passed away in a car accident this week. He was only 26. Warren leaves behind his wife, Kris. A scholarship has been set up in his name at Uniontown (KS) High School. Donations may be sent to Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home, 15 W. Wall St., PO Box 309, Fort Scott, KS, 66701. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. 

Bridgewater (D-III - VA): Former St. Vincent (D-III - PA) head coach Bob Colbert has joined the staff as tight ends coach. Also, former St. Vincent (D-III - VA) offensive coordinator Brett Colbert has been hired to coach the receivers.

Alderson-Broaddus (D-II - WV): Per source, Randolph Macon (D-III - VA) offensive line coach Salvatore DeWalt is the new offensive line coach at Alderson Broaddus.

Rutgers: Per source, director of football recruiting operations Tariq Ahmad has resigned. Sources tell us that they expect Kyle Flood to promote Phil Galiano (assistant director of player development) to director of recruiting.

Northern Colorado (FCS): Head coach Earnest Collins, Jr., has received a contract extension through 2017. He has a base salary of $117,000, plus $15,000 for home paid attendance of 4,500 or more, $20,000 for an APR of 940 or greater, $2,500 for a team GPA of 2.85 or higher, $1,000 for each win beyond six, $5,000 for a Big Sky championship, $5,000 for winning Big Sky Coach of the Year, $5,000 for an FCS playoff appearance, and $20,000 for an FCS national championship.

Pro Football Hall of Fame coach Chuck Noll passed away Friday night at age 82. Our thoughts are with the Noll family and the entire Pittsburgh Steelers organization.

Fort Scott CC (KS): Brannon Green has been hired to coach the tackles and tight ends. Green played tight end at Oklahoma and recently graduated, and played JUCO ball at Fort Scott.

Ohio Mid Western College (USCAA): Antonio Davis has been hired as offensive coordinator, Richard Bailey has been named offensive line coach and Jihad Quran has been hired to coach the linebackers and coordinate special teams..

Auburn: Blake Kirk has been hired as the assistant to the director of student recruiting. After graduating in April, Kirk helped the staff with camp itineraries and aided coaches in recruiting.

Florida: Receivers coach Joker Phillips has resigned, and Chris Leak has been promoted to coach the wide receivers. Leak served as an offensive grad assistant last season.

Oregon State: New offensive coordinator John Garrett will earn $320,000 in year one and $330,000 in year two of his two-year contract, the Oregonian reported on Tuesday. Garrett will also earn a $20,000 bonus if the Beavers rank among the Pac-12's top four offenses in either of those seasons.
