Clemson: FootballScoop has learned that Clemson officials  have a plan in place to talk with Oklahoma offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson after the Sooners regular season.  There is no front runner for the Clemson job at this time according to our sources.

Juniata College: Athletic director Larry Bock has announced that Darrell Alt has resigned as head football coach.  Alt recently finished his 5th season at Juanita College (D3).

Kansas State: TCU head coach Gary Patterson has not spoken with Kansas State officials.  Patterson and his agent are very upset about the false report released by a Kansas State beat writer on Friday afternoon that claimed Patterson had accepted the head coaching job at his alma mater.

Tennessee: FootballScoop has learned that Tennessee athletic director Mike Hamilton intends to contact Cincinnati head coach Brian Kelly.  No confirmation on the other candidates yet.

Virginia: Al Groh will return as head coach next season.  Athletic director Craig Littlepage says, "Al Groh will be our head coach.  We have great wins against ranked teams and we're in the mix for divisional and conference championships."  Littlepage added that no matter how the Cavaliers finish the remaining games, Groh will return.  Next season wil be Groh's 9th year at Virginia. 

Virginia Union:  Greg Richardson will not return as head coach at Virginia Union (D2).  "I don't know what prompted the decision," said Richardson, who had been VUU's defensive coordinator in 2006 and 2007. "Maybe, they weren't happy with the wins and losses. Maybe, we didn't win the games they thought we should because of the expectations.  Richardson said last night that Athletic Director Michael Bailey gave him no reason for his firing.

Announcement: We are glad to announce that starting today, FootballScoop will host the official job & reporting board for the Director of Football Operations throughout college football.  FootballScoop has agreed with the DFO National Committee to report all hirings, promotions, movement, and openings relating to DFO jobs.  Additionally, we have our best "GAME CHANGING COACHES" of the year coming tomorrow.  There were many very impressive coaching performances this past weekend in college football.  Our staff will let you know the best of the best.

Kent State: Kent State athletic director Laing Kennedy expects head coach Doug Martin to return.  "Doug is under contract [through 2010] and it is our desire to fulfill that commitment," states Kennedy. Kennedy said the decision came with the blessing of KSU President Lester Lefton.

Kansas State: A Kansas State beat writer is reporting that Kansas State and Gary Patterson have reached an agreement for Patterson to become the new head football coach in Manhattan.  A Kansas State graduate, Patterson has been the head coach at TCU since 2000.  Patterson's agent has quickly responded by strongly denying any contact with Kansas State.

Lakeland College: an independent liberal arts institution located in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, midway between Milwaukee and Green Bay, seeks qualified candidates for a Graduate Assistant Position for the Football Program. The successful candidate will coach a position on defense and assist the head coach with all aspects of the program.  A Bachelor degree is required.
