Arizona St.:  FootballScoop has just learned that ASU has made some changes.  Alex Hammel is the new Def. GA and Pablo Cano is the new recruiting GA.  Derek Stamnos is the new football management intern.

San Francisco (UFL):  We hear that Trent Bray is Dennis Green's new LB's coach.  Bray was a GA at Arizona St.

Notre Dame: FootballScoop has learned that Notre Dame offensive intern, David Hanna, will participate in the Bill Walsh NFL Minority Coaches Internship with the Denver Broncos organization.  Hanna will be with the Broncos during training camp working with offensive coordinator Mike McCoy and special teams coordinator Mike Priefer.

South Florida: Former USF safety, J.R. Reed, will take over a defensive GA as long as he doesn't latch on with an NFL organization.  Reed is currently as unsigned free agent.


Albright College: An NCAA Division III institution and a member of the highly competitive Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC), is seeking a highly motivated individual for the position of Intern Assistant Football Coach/ Video Coordinator (Defense: OLB, ILB or DBs). Qualifications: Bachelors degree required with successful football playing and/or coaching experience, strong professional/interpersonal communication skills and organizational efficiency, outstanding character and leadership qualities a must.  The successful applicant should also possess strong computer skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power-point, and Access software. Some experience with DV-Sport digital editing system is a plus. Duties include coaching your own position; plan, organize, and instruct positional meetings and drills; contribute to defensive game plan; recruit your own territory and attract top quality student-athletes to attend Albright College. Administrative duties include: game week organizational tasks, including; film breakdown, opponent scouting, self-scouting, tendency reports, video cut-ups, scouting reports, assist S&C coach with weight room, oversee and counsel players on academic and social issues, and other duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach. Compensation includes a $3,000 annual stipend paid over a 10 month contract, free off-campus housing, free meal plan in campus dining hall. No health benefits are included with this position. Iowa Western CC: We hear former Drake University running back, Willie Cashmore, has joined the staff as running backs coach.

Troy: As we reported a few weeks ago, head coach Larry Blakeney has announced the hiring of former Faulkner head coach Jim Nichols.  Nichols will serve as a quality control coach for the Trojans, with an emphasis on special teams.

Maine Maritime Academy: (MMA) is an 800 student, public, fully accredited four-year college located in the small coastal village of Castine, Maine. The college is one of six state-supported Maritime Colleges in the United States. MMA is a college of engineering, transportation, management, ocean sciences and international business. Tulane: Our sources have just told us that Tulane is looking for a defensive GA.

Portland State: FootballScoop has confirmed that UNC grad assistant, Brad Davis, has accepted a full-time position at Portland State.

Southeastern Louisiana: Defensive graduate assistant Tra Boger has accepted a position on the Southeastern Louisiana staff.  We hear Boger will be coaching either the corners or safeties.

Iowa: Kirk Ferentz has signed a new 7-year contract that runs through the 2015 season.

Portland State: We are hearing that North Carolina grad assistant, Brad Davis, could be joining the Portland State staff.

Central Florida: Albert Boone has joined the UCF staff as director of player personnel.  Boone previously served as the assistant general manager of ISP on the Central Florida campus. 

Grad Assistant Flip Chart: Check out the bottom right hand side of our homepage.  The Grad Assistant Flip Chart is up and running.  For the first time, you can see the GA's and Quality Control personnel for all 120 D1 programs.


Chowan University: (D2, CIAA) Assistant Football Coach - Defense/Video Coordinator. Qualifications: A bachelor's degree; and, playing or coaching defensive line* at the college level is required.
