LA Tech: FootballScoop has learned that head coach Derek Dooley has hired Louisiana-Monroe tight ends /special teams coordinator Mark Tommerdahl.

South Florida: Clemson linebackers coach David Blackwell has accepted the co-defensive coordinator / linebackers job at South Florida.

Rutgers: Special teams coordinator Chris Rippon has decided to pursue other opportunities.  Robb Smith will coordinate the special teams and coach the outside linebackers.  Also, former Syracuse assistant Randy Thrivers has been hired at Rutgers as running backs coach.

Cal Poly: Former United State Military Academy assistant Adam Waugh has joined the staff as defensive backs coach.  Former Missouri State assistant Jamar Cain has been hired to coach the defensive line.

Montana: Former Wyoming offensive line coach Chad Germer has been hired at Montana in the same capacity.

Rutgers: UL-Lafayette running backs coach Brian Jenkins is set to join the Rutgers' staff as wide receivers coach.

South Florida: We hear Clemson linebackers coach David Blackwell will interview at South Florida for the linebackers job.

Stillman College: Freedom High School coach Glenn Davis is joining the staff as secondary coach.

Tennessee State: Our sources tell us Ouachita Baptist defensive line coach Osita Alariebe is heading to TSU in the same capacity.

Tiffin University: We hear Wharton HS defensive line coach Vincent Davis will be joining the Tiffin University staff.

VMI: Former South Florida player Danny Verpaele has been hired as an assistant coach.

Army: John Brock will coach the rovers and "B" squad.  Joe Ross will serves as assistant special teams coach / fullbacks. 

Jacksonville State: We hear defensive graduate assistant Thomas Rybacki will now also coach the corners.

Louisiana Tech: Our sources tell us a new special teams coordinator will be hired as early as tomorrow.

Texas Tech: Eric Russell joins the staff as special teams coordinator.  Russell previously served as special teams coordinator / tight ends coach at LA Tech.

United Football League: The four new head coaches include Jim Haslett (Orlando), Jim Fassel (Las Vegas), Dennis Green (San Francisco), Ted Cottrell (New York).  Games begin next fall.

Assumption: We hear Assumption has rehired former head coach Cory Bailey.

Central Arkansas: FootballScoop has confirmed that Valdosta State offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach Buster Faulkner has been hired as quarterbacks coach.  Also, Arkansas State defensive GA Adam Federle has been hired as assistant defensive line coach.  Brian Early has been promoted to special teams coordiantor / defensive line.  Brooks Hollingsworth has been promted to offensive coordinator / offensive line.  Jerry Mack has added the title of pass game coordinator.  Hud Jackson has been promoted to assistant head coach.  Matt Williamson will serve as defensive coordinator / linebackers.  Perry Eliano will coach the defensive backs.

Delaware: Our sources tell us Delaware will promote graduate assistant Jason Hescock to linebackers coach.

Hartnell College: Former Monterey High School (CA) coach Pete Noble has been hired as defensive coordinator at Hartnell College.

Kansas State: Fort Scott defensive line coach Andrae Rowe has accepted a position on the Kansas State staff.

Lindsey Wilson College: is no longer accepting resumes for the coordinator positions.

Missouri: As we reported well over a week ago, Missouri has announced linebackers coach Dave Steckel has been promoted to defensive coordinator. 

Purdue: Former Purdue player Kyle Smith will serve as defensive quality control.

Saint Vincent College: is no longer accepting resumes.

Texas Tech: Special teams coordinator Clay McGuire will now coach the running backs. 

Towson: We hear Lafayette College offensive line coach / recruiting coordinator Matt Hachmann is set to join the Towson staff as defensive coordinator.

UL-Monroe: Montana State special teams coordinator / tight ends coach John Wozniak has accepted the wide receivers job at UL-Monroe.  Former New Mexico defensive line coach Everett Todd has joined the ULM staff in the same capacity.

Permian HS (Odessa, TX): Gary Gaines has been named head football coach.  Gaines served as head coach during the Friday Night Lights run.


University of Chicago: A member of NCAA Division III and University Athletic Association.  The University of Chicago football staff seeks a Running Backs Coach, previous experience coaching or playing is required.
