Massachusetts: Offensive line coach Dave Johnson and DFO Jordan Jarry will not return, but defensive line coach Dave Sollazzo, inside linebackers coach/special teams coordinator Ted Daisher and strength and conditioning coach Mike Golden will be retained by new head coach Mark Whipple according to 247Sports.

Georgia: Georgia beat writer reports inside linebackers coach Kirk Olivadotti is headed back to the Washington Redskins, where he spent 11 years before joining Mark Richt's staff. Sources tell us defensive line coach Chris Wilson is leaving for USC, meaning the Bulldogs will have an entirely new defensive staff in 2014.
Temple: Elijah Robinson has been hired from Penn State as defensive line coach.
Oregon: Erik Chinander has been named outside linebackers coach. He spent three years in the Oregon program before serving as assistant defensive line coach for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2013.
Texas: The Longhorns have finally announced Charlie Strong's coaching staff, led by offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Joe Wickline, defensive coordinator Vance Bedford, assistant head coach for offense/quarterbacks coach Shawn Watson and assistant head coach for defense/defensive line coach Chris Rumph. The rest of the staff includes running backs coach Tommie Robinson, wide receivers coach Les Koenning, tight ends coach Bruce Chambers, linebackers coach/recruiting coordinator Brian Jean-Mary and defensive backs coach/special teams coordinator Chris Vaughn.

Houston: The Cougars have hired former Texans offensive assistant Dan Hammerschmidt as running backs coach according to Joseph Duarte of the Houston Chronicle.

Minnesota Vikings: The Vikings have received permission to interview Cleveland Browns offensive coordinator Norv Turner for the same position according to Adam Schefter.

Mississippi Valley State (FCS): The Delta Devils have targeted former Jackson State head coach Rick Comegy for their vacant head coaching position according to the Jackson (Miss.) Clarion-Ledger. The paper reports the school will announce a hire on Tuesday.
Vanderbilt: St. Louis Rams offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer will interview for the Vanderbilt head coaching job today according to Adam Schefter. Indianapolis Colts offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton will interview Thursday according to Bruce Feldman.
Arkansas State: Head coach Blake Anderson has officially announced the hiring of Keith Heckendorf as tight ends coach and recruiting coordinator. Heckendorf comes from North Carolina, where he served as offensive quality control for the past three years.

Southern Illinois (FCS): Head coach Dale Lennon will take over defensive coordinator duties in 2014, and offensive line coach Bill O'Boyle will take over offensive coordinator duties, replacing Kalen DeBoer, who left for Eastern Michigan. The Salukies have hired Nick Hill as quarterbacks coach, Todd Auer as linebackers coach and David Elson as defensive backs coach. The staff still has one opening, likely for a special teams coordinator.
Washington: Chris Petersen's will earn more than $3.25 million in 2014, up from $2.8 million in 2013. Defensive coordinator Pete Kwiatkowski will earn $485,000, followed by offensive coordinator Jonathan Smith, offensive line coach Chris Stausser and linebackers coach Bob Gregory ($425,000), defensive backs coach Jimmy Lake ($375,000), wide receivers coach Brent Pease and defensive line coach/special teams coordinator Jeff Choate ($345,000) and running backs coach/recruiting coordinator Keith Bhonapha ($250,000). Texas: The Texas Board of Regents has approved Charlie Strong's contract: five years, starting at $5 million a year and rising $100,000 each season. The deal is fully guaranteed. Strong's buyout, which Texas is paying, was $4.37 million. Bonuses include $250,000 for a national title win, 3 percent of his salary for a top 5 finish, 2 percent of his salary for a top 10 finish, $100,000 for winning the Big 12 and $100,000 for reaching the national title game.

Texas: Alabama defensive line coach Chris Rumph has accepted a position at Texas according to 247Sports.
Minnesota Vikings: Cincinnati Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer is expected to have a second interview with the Vikings early next week according to Adam Caplan of ESPN.
Illinois State (FCS): Sources tell us New Mexico GA Kane Keirnan has accepted a position as an offensive assistant coach in a position to be determined at Illinois State. Keirnan is an Illinois State graduate.
Penn State: James Franklin's deal is reportedly for 6 years and worth $27 million ($4.5 million per year).
Oregon: At Oregon, sources tell us to expect Mark Helfrich to promote linebackers / recruiting coordinator Don Pellum to defensive coordinator. Pellum knows that defense and the players as well as anyone. At Oregon it's all about the fit and Pellum is certainly loved by the players and staff.
New Mexico: Sources tell us inside linebackers coach Kevin Cosgrove will add the defensive coordinator title as well.
Central Methodist (NAIA - MO): Central Methodist University is looking of a guarantee game in 2014 on August 30th or September 6th or a home game on September 4th/6th.
Oklahoma Panhandle State (D-II): Oklahoma Panhandle State University (Goodwell, OK) is looking for a home game for the 2014 season. We need 1 home game (possible moderate game guarantee). Maryland: Ball State defensive line coach Chad Wilt has accepted the same position at Maryland.
Pace: Andy Rondeau has officially been announced as head coach at Pace.
Southeastern Oklahoma State (D-II): Southeastern Oklahoma State University Department of Athletics invites applications for the position of Assistant Football Coach/ HPER Instructor. The successful candidate will teach a class load of approximately 6 hours per semester as assigned by the Chair of the Department of Health, Physical Education & Recreation. Candidates are expected to have earned Bachelor & Master degrees; one of which must be in HPER or a closely related field. Coaching experience at one or more NCAA institutions with knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations are preferred. Previous teaching at the University level is also preferred. Vanderbilt: Athletic director David Williams announced today that they have already retained Dan Parker's firm to assist with the search and that they plan to move quickly but will be diligent. We noted a few days ago that in addition to internal candidates Bob Shoop and Herb Hand, sources tell us that Williams' primary external candidate is Derek Mason at Stanford. We'll keep you posted.
