San Jose State: Offensive coordinator Jimmie Dougherty has added the title assistant head coach. 

Youngstown State (FCS): Per source, defensive coordinator Joe Tresey will not return to the staff. 

Boise State: Former Texas offensive grad assistant (and Boise State quarterback) Taylor Tharp has been hired as director of player personnel at Boise State. 

Penn State: Mississippi State defensive graduate assistant Will Windham is going to Penn State in a similar capacity per source. 

UNC Pembroke (D-II): Interim head coach (defensive coordinator) Shane Richardson has been named head coach. 

Cleveland Browns: Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk says the Browns and the 49ers had a deal in place in which the Browns would have given the 49ers multiple draft picks in exchange for Jim Harbaugh becoming head coach of the Browns...but that Harbaugh ultimately killed the deal. The CEO of the 49ers came out with a very public denial directly to Florio "the report isn't true"

Northern Illinois: Head coach Rod Carey has inked a contract extension through the 2018 season, and will also receive a bump in pay that will net him at least $400,000 in 2014. Carey made $376,000 in 2013 according to USA Today. 

West Virginia: Per Allan Taylor of WV Metro News, West Virginia plans to hire former Penn State defensive coordinator Tom Bradley. Update> West Virginia has now announced the hire stating that Bradley will be "senior associate head coach" and that Holgorsen will designate his position later.. 

Itasca CC (MN): Itasca Community College has promoted running backs coach Weldon Braxton to offensive coordinator, per sources. 

New York Giants: Tom Coughlin stated today that he has agreed to a one year extension through the 2015 season. 

Jacksonville University (FCS - FL): Jacksonville University is seeking applicants for a Volunteer Offensive Analyst position, Volunteer Defensive Analyst position and Volunteer Football Operations Assistant. Eastern Illinois: Mike Markuson has now been formally introduced as offensive line / assistant head coach. 

West Virginia: Dana Holgorsen confirmed today that Tony Gibson will be the Mountaineers' defensive coordinator. 

Kentucky Wesleyan (D-II): Per source, former Western Kentucky receivers coach Donte Pimpleton will be the new offensive coordinator at Kentucky Wesleyan. 

Samford (FCS - AL): Samford University is seeking applicants for a Volunteer Offensive Analyst position and a Volunteer Defensive Analyst position. Northwestern State (FCS - LA): Per source, LSU offensive grad assistant / special teams assistant August Mangin will be the new special teams coordinator at Northwestern State. 

Sam Houston State (FCS): Kentucky defensive / special teams grad assistant Matt Powledge is joining the Sam Houston State staff as special teams coordinator / running backs. We also see that Rodrique Wright is joining the staff (assistant defensive line).

Rhode Island (FCS): Per source, Rochester defensive backs / special teams coordinator Diamond Weaver is joining the Rhode Island staff coaching the running backs. 

Arkansas: New defensive backs coach Clay Jennings will make $320,000 annually in a contract that runs through June 2015. He has a $100,000 buyout if he leaves within the next 365 days which then drops to $50,000 through June 2015. Taver Johnson made $250,000 in that role last season. 

Notre Dame: Per source, Notre Dame has hired Megan Whitt (Ohio State) as coordinator of recruiting operations. Whitt previously held a similar position at Ohio State. 

Wisconsin: Marshall running backs coach Thomas Brown will be the new running backs coach at Wisconsin, sources confirm to FootballScoop. Brown coached at Marshall for one season and served in the same capacity at Chattanooga prior to that. Brown worked for (strength staff) and played at Georgia (four year starter) previously. 

Bridgewater College (D-III - VA): Kyle Gillenwater has been hired as defensive line coach.

Murray State: LSU defensive grad assistant Gordon Steele will join the Murray State staff as tackles/tight ends coach per source. 

Winnipeg Blue Bombers (CFL): The club has announced Gary Etcheverry as defensive coordinator, Nelson Martin as defensive backs coach and Portland State defensive line coach Mike Scheper as defensive line coach. 

Syracuse: Bobby Acosta has now officially been announced as tight ends coach, and offensive coordinator George McDonald will work with the wide receivers. 

Bethel College (NAIA - KS): Bethel College in Newton, Kan., has an opening for an Offensive Coordinator. This candidate must be savvy with the spread offense. This position will pay $21,500 a year with health benefits. Please specify that you are applying for OC position. This is a 12 month position. Bethel College (NAIA - KS): Bethel College in Newton, Kan., has an opening for a Graduate Assistant. This candidate must be proficient with HUDL software. Michigan: The Wolverines have shuffled some staff responsibilities. Defensive coordinator Greg Mattison will work with the linebackers this season, defensive backs coach Curt Mallory will focus on the safeties while outside linebackers coach Roy Manning will shift to cornerbacks and inside linebackers coach Mark Smith will work with the defensive line.

Michigan: The J. Ira and Nicki Harris Foundation has endowed the Michigan head coaching position to the tune of $10 million. Brady Hoke's official title is now the J. Ira and Nicki Harris Family Head Football Coach. 

Kansas: Former Washington offensive coordinator Eric Kiesau has been named receivers coach.

Arkansas: TCU cornerbacks coach Clay Jennings has been hired as the defensive backs coach at Arkansas. 

Texas College (NAIA): Texas College is looking for a home game on September 13th of 2014. Interested programs can contact head coach George Cumby at [email protected] or at 903-330-2489.

Eastern Michigan: Mike Gravier, who served as the assistant head coach at Valparaiso (FCS - IN) last year, has been hired to coordinate the special teams and coach the tight ends.

New England Patriots: Former Browns GM Mike Lombardi has been added to the staff as an assistant to the coaching staff.

Defiance College (D-III - OH): Defiance College is seeking applicants for the position of Recruiting Coordinator/Assistant Football Coach (Offense). The selected individual will take a lead role in all phases of recruiting, including personnel evaluation, on-campus visit planning, along with monitoring progress toward the program’s recruiting goals. Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate strong communication skills and successful, Division III recruiting experience. Specific coaching assignment is flexible based on candidate’s background. Familiarity with option football is preferred. Saskatchewan Roughridgers (CFL): Brad Miller has been announced as linebackers coach. 

Air Force: Troy Calhoun has shuffled a bit of his staff. Mike Thiessen will take over as the sole offensive coordinator, Steve Russ will be the defensive coordinator and coach the defensive backs, Matt Weikert will move from defensive line to outside linebackers, John Rudzinski will move from outside linebackers to secondary. New hires Tim Cross (defensive line) and Ron Vanderlinden (inside linebackers) have also been assigned their roles. Also, Drew Fowler, a former player, has joined the staff as an assistant linebackers coach.

BC Lions (CFL): Johnny Holland, who coached the linebackers for the Oakland Raiders back in 2012, has been added to the staff and will coach the linebackers.

Butler (FCS - IN): Ball State graduate assistant Gerald Chatman has been hired as defensive line coach. 

San Francisco 49ers: Senior offensive consultant Eric Mangini will transition to tight ends coach, while current tight ends coach Reggie Davis will move to assistant offensive line coach. 

Tennessee-Chattanooga: The university has announced that head coach Russ Huesman has agreed to a three-year contract extension taking him through the 2018 season. The new contract includes a raise in his annual pay to $205,738.

Indiana: Kevin Wilson has finalized his full time staff with the hire of North Texas safeties coach Noah Joseph, who will coach the same position with the Hoosiers. We hear that there is still a defensive grad assistant position available.

Tennessee State (FCS): Tennessee State University is looking for a FBS guarantee game for 2015 and 2016. Dates available in 2015 are September 19 and September 26. Colorado: The Board of Regents has voted to extend the contract of Mike MacIntyre one year, through December 31, 2018.

Bentley (D-II - MA): Sources tell us that Assumption College (D-II - MA) offensive line coach / strength coach Matt Sidebottom has accepted the same job at Bentley University

LA Tech: Former Texas defensive ends coach Oscar Giles is joining the LA Tech staff as defensive line coach. BleedTechBlue broke the news and we have confirmed. 

Cleveland Browns: Per source, Toledo linebackers / special teams coordinator Stan Watson has accepted a position on the Browns' staff. We hear Watson's role will be assistant special teams coordinator with the Browns.

Florida International: FIU has announced the hiring of Randy Melvin as defensive line coach. Melvin coached the same position for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2012-13. 

Georgia State: Sources tell us that Georgia State has already identified their man to fill the receivers position. Will update...

LaGrange (D-III - GA): Sources tell us that Earl Chambers, who spent last season at James Madison coaching the tight ends and spent eight years coaching the defensive line at Valdosta State prior to that, will be the new defensive coordinator at LaGrange. Also, we hear that Kendall Todd will join the defensive side of the ball, and Brandon Crosby (who coached last year at Saddleback College) will coach the running backs.

San Jose State: Per source, grad assistant Andrew Rolin will be promoted to full time assistant. 

Union College (NAIA - KY): Per source, head coach Tommy Reid has chosen to step down to pursue other coaching opportunities. Reid served as head coach for the past 12 seasons at Union. 

Miami Dolphins: Offensive line coach Jim Turner has been let go. 

Massachusetts: Tight ends coach/recruiting coordinator Shane Waldron will move to offensive line coach according to MaroonMusket.com. 

Atlanta Falcons: Former Rams GM Billy Devaney is joining the Falcons' staff as a regional scout per Adam Schefter. 

Bemidji State (D-II - MN): Per source, Robert Aurich will join the staff as a defensive grad assistant. 

Georgia State: Brock Lough, a graduate assistant who coached the running backs this past season, has been made a full time assistant. Further, head coach Trent Miles told the AJC that that grad assistant Ronnie Fouch will coach the receivers through Spring ball while evaluating who will be hired to fill Keary Colbert's position.

Alabama: Georgia State receivers coach Keary Colbert has accepted an offensive analyst position at Alabama per sources. We see that the AJC broke the news an hour ago on twitter. 

Hiram (D-III - OH): Hiram College invites applications for a graduate assistant position in football. The primary responsibility will be to assist the head football coach in all facets of the program, to include recruiting, organization/administration of practices and contests, and supporting overall student-athlete success. Additional duties will include assisting with the supervision of the Coleman Sports Center, the administration of our college recreation program and the department video exchange procedures. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor’s degree and admission to the Hiram College Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies program. COMPENSATION: Tuition remission for graduate course work at Hiram College, an annual stipend, campus housing and dining. LSU: Bradley Dale Peveto has accepted the special teams job. Multiple outlets reported yesterday that he was expected to accept, and he has since made it official.

UCLA: Head coach Jim Mora's new contract, signed last December, will "likely" make him the second-highest paid public school coach in the Pac-12 according to the Los Angeles Times. Mora will earn at least $3.25 million in 2014 and a base of $21 million over the next six seasons.

Kean (D-III - NJ): Sources tell us that Don Bosco Prep (NJ) passing game coordinator Ron Gavazzi has joined the Kean staff in the same role.

Western Carolina: Former Vanderbilt grad assistant LaMar Morgan has been officially added to the staff, and will coach the defensive backs.

Alabama: Friendship Collegiate Academy (DC) head coach Azaar Abdul-Rahim will join the Alabama staff as a defensive analyst. 

Army: Former Citadel offensive coordinator Bob Bodine, who last week had accepted a position at West Alabama, has joined the Army staff coaching the tight ends. Yes, Army is making a strong push for the largest staff this year. 

UCLA: Mike Tuiasasopo will be the Bruins' linebackers coach according to the LA Times; Tuiasasopo will also assist with special teams. He spent the last two seasons coaching the defensive line at Colorado. This hire completes UCLA's coaching staff. 

Western State (D-II - CO): Sources tell us Colorado State-Pueblo tight ends coach/offensive line assistant J.T. Haddan has accepted the offensive line job at Western State College.

Florida: Per sources, Southwest Minnesota State (D-II) offensive coordinator / offensive line coach Jeremy Darveau has accepted a position assisting with the offensive line at Florida. Darveau played under offensive line coach Mike Summers at Louisville. 

Vanderbilt: Defensive line coach Vavae Tata has been suspended indefinitely from the staff. Over the weekend, Tata was charged with DUI. 

Calgary Stampeders: Marc Mueller, who spent last season coaching the quarterbacks at the University of Regina, has joined the staff as a defensive assistant.

Texas A&M Commerce: Per source, former Houston quarterback Drew Hollingshead has accepted a grad assistant position at Texas A&M Commerce and will be working with the quarterbacks.

Western New Mexico (D-II): Sources tell us that Reilly Murphy is the new offensive coordinator at Western New Mexico. Murphy spent last season as the offensive coordinator at Bethel College (NAIA - KS). 

Fayetteville State (D-II - NC): Fayetteville State University is looking for a special teams coordinator/kickers coach or an offensive line coach. This is a full time position with teaching responsibilities. Candidates must have a Masters in Health/Physical Education. Nichols College: Per source, Tim Grupp is joining the staff as offensive assistant. Jacob Schoup will now coach the running backs and James Whitlow is joining the staff as a grad assistant. 

Ferrum (D-III - VA): Phil Elmassian has been named defensive coordinator. Elmassian, who spent the last two years as the DC at UMass, has coached at East Carolina, Minnesota, Virginia, Syracuse, Marshall, and Nebraska during his long coaching career.

Jacksonville State: Aashon Larkins has accepted the corners / specials teams coordinator job. Larkins previously coached the linebackers and coordinated the special teams at The Citadel.

Arkansas Monticello (D-II): Arkansas Tech (D-II) receivers / recruiting coordinator Kyle Shipp has accepted the offensive coordinator job at Monticello per sources. 

Georgetown: Defensive coordinator Rob Sgarlata has been named head coach. 

LSU: Kentucky safeties / special teams coordinator Bradley Dale Peveto is expected to accept the special teams job at LSU per source. CBS and ESPN have both reported the same as well. 

Eastern Michigan: Former special teams coordinator Ryan Oshnock has offically accepted the head coaching job at Forrest Hills Northern HS (MI).

Iowa State: Per source, Buffalo co-defensive coordinator / defensive backs Maurice Linguist will join the Iowa State staff as defensive backs coach. 

Southwest Minnesota State (D-II): Southwest Minnesota State University is looking for a graduate assistant coach to work with the defensive line. Qualifications include acceptance into graduate school (3.0 minimum GPA), enrolled in a minimum of six credits per semester, and meet the MnSCU vehicle driving qualifications. Compensation package includes $8,000 and Full-Tuition waiver. Review of candidates will begin immediately and continue until filled. Expected start date in July. Columbia: Sources tell us that SUNY Cortland (D-III - NY) defensive coordinator / defensive backs coach Ola Adams has accepted the receivers job at Columbia.

Reedley College (JC - CA): Per source, receivers coach Ernie Rodriguez has been promoted to offensive coordinator and secondary coach Bob Demichillie has been promoted to defensive coordinator.

Georgia Military College (JC): Former Hardaway High (GA) assistant David Mackie will be the new corners coach at Georgia Military, per source. 

Arkansas: Randy Shannon will make $400,000 as senior associate head coach. Last season Shannon made $315,000. Shannon's new agreement includes a $100,000 buyout if he leaves before December 31 of this year and then $50,000 if he leaves before July 2015. 

Phoenix College (CC - AZ): Phoenix College is looking for a QUALIFIED Offensive Coordinator that can also coach QB or RB's. Candidates with ties to Arizona recruiting are preferred. This position will stay open until filled by approved candidate. Bachelors required, Masters preferred. Desired Qualifications;. Bentley (D-II - MA): Sources tell us that Norwich University (D-III - VT) associate head coach / defensive backs coach Leo Fanning has joined the staff at Bentley.

Concordia - St. Paul (D-II - MN): Concordia University, St. Paul, located in St. Paul, MN, is seeking applicants for an offensive graduate assistant (WR Experience preferred). Compensation includes full tuition, semester stipend. Minorities are encouraged to apply. Must be committed to finishing graduate school. UAB: David Reeves (defensive line) and Chuck Dunn (inside linebackers) have been formally announced as new members of the staff. Both spent last season with Bill Clark at Jacksonville State.

Virginia State (D-II): Virginia State is looking to fill the date of Saturday, September 13th 2014. Preference would be to schedule a home-and-home series for 14-15 (They would prefer a home game in 2014 and will provide a guarantee, if that’s not an option will travel in 2014). Michigan: The Board of Regents will vote later this week on endowing the head coaching position in response to a $10 million donation. If approved, Brady Hoke's title will add the name  "J. Ira and Nicki Harris Family head coach" according to Mark Snyder of the Detroit Free Press. 

Penn State: We told you about this last week; but just closing the loop now that it is official...Towson tight ends coach Tyler Bowen is now at Penn State as a grad assistant working with the offensive line. 

Fort Hays State (D-II - KS): Per source, former Pitt State (D-II - KS) defensive grad assistant Ike Eguae will be the new defensive line coach at Fort Hays State. 

UConn: Running backs coach Ernest Jones has resigned. Bob Diaco stated that Jones' decision was "entirely family and personally related." Jones was scheduled to earn $192,000 this year. 

Purdue: Taver Johnson's new base salary as corners coach at Purdue is $225,000. His base salary at Arkansas last year was $250,000.

Montreal Alouettes (Canada): Offensive line coach Frank Verducci has been let go after one season, according to the Montreal Gazette.
