Guynes is a Lehigh University graduate and coached the linebackers last season at Iona University.
Sam Houston State: Jonathon Cooper joins the Sam Houston State staff as the new wide receivers coach. Cooper is a former all-conference wide receiver at Sam Houston State. Most recently, he served as co-offensive coordinator / special teams coordinator at Ball High School in Galveston, TX since 2004.

Western Connecticut State University: an NCAA Division III member, competing in the New Jersey Athletic Conference, invites applications for a part-time football intern coaching position. Duties will include recruiting, coaching a position, opponent scouting & video breakdown (LRS Sports), practice preparation, and other auxiliary duties as assigned. The review of applications will begin immediately. These positions will start immediately and continue until May 2009 with the possibility of an extension with satisfactory performance. Austin Peay: Ryan Taylor has been hired to coach the linebackers at Austin Peay. Taylor previously served the last two seasons as an assistant coach at North Greenville University in South Carolina. Taylor is a former standout player at Austin Peay.
Florida Atlantic: Florida Atlantic has extended the contract of head coach Howard Schnellenberger through 2010. At age 74, Schnellenberger has built the FAU program from the ground beginning seven years ago. Last season, the Owls were the only team in the state of Florida to win a bowl game.

Ferris State: Former Southeast Missouri State assistant Eric Ravellette joins the staff at Ferris State. Ravellette will coach the offensive line. He previously served as the tight ends / recruiting coordinator at SEMO.
Illinois State: Jonas Jackson has been named defensive line coach.
Southern Miss: Former NFL tight end, Kris Mangum, has been named as a replacement assistant coach at Southern Miss. Mangum will act as a replacement for Coach Barney Farrar, who will have limited duties as he undergoes treatments for a health issue.

Central Connecticut State: Sam Anno joins the staff as linebackers / special teams coach. Anno served as a video assistant last season at University of Southern California. In 2005 and 2006, Anno was a graduate assistant at USC.
College of DuPage JC: Located in the west suburbs of Chicago, College of DuPage has an immediate opening for a running backs or linebacker coach. Position must be filled immediately. Part-time stipend available. Contact head coach Fred Fimbres at 630-942-2343.
King's College (PA): D3 located in Wilkes-Barre, PA has an opening for an offensive intern coach, working primarily with the wide receivers. The job includes housing, meals, and a stipend.
