Dallas Cowboys: Jerry Jones said today that Jason Garrett will be their head coach next season; but in doing so noted there is a long way to go in this season...
Akron: Terry Bowden has agreed to a two year extension at Akron (terms have not been released).
West Georgia (D-II): Will Hall has accepted the head job at West Georgia.
Dickinson State (NAIA - ND): After 38 seasons, head coach Hank Biesiot has resigned. Biesiot steps down ranking #2 on the NAIA career wins list.
Bentley University (D-II - MA): After being involved with the football program for 28 years, including the past five as the head coach, Thom Boerman has decided to retire, effective November 30th.
Aurora (D-III - IL): A "national search" is now underway. We hear they are indeed looking for a coach from outside the program.
North Carolina Central (FCS): Sources in the industry tell us that North Carolina Central has began their national search for a new head coach. As a reminder just before the start of the season, Henry Frazier was relieved of the head coaching duties and offensive line coach Dwayne Foster was elevated to the interim head coaching position. As always, we'll keep you updated on how this plays out.

Aurora University (D-III - IL): Sources tell us head coach Mark Walsh will not return.
Southern Connecticut State: Just coming back to confirm the news from Monday, Rich Cavanaugh has officially retired and the university has begun a "national search".
West Georgia (D-II): Sources tell us West Alabama head coach Will Hall has been offered the head job at West Georgia.
Dakota Wesleyan (NAIA - SD): Dakota Wesleyan's vacant offensive coordinator position has been filled from within the program by offensive line coach Josh Kotecki.
Averett University (D-III - VA): Sources tell us head coach Mike Dunlevy won't return.
Minnesota: The Gophers' coaching staff has been nominated for the Discover Orange Bowl/FWAA Courage Award.
UTSA: The Roadrunners are working on a contract extension with Larry Coker. Coker is under contract through 2015.
Trinity (D-III - TX): Offensive coordinator Jerheme Urban has been named head coach.
Northwest Mississippi CC: Sources tell us that Jonathan Webster has accepted the defensive backs job. Webster previously spent three seasons coaching the defensive backs at Southwest Mississippi CC, and also spent two years coordinating the special teams at Northeast Mississippi CC.
Blinn (JC - TX): Blinn has now posted their head coaching position and is seeking applicants. We hear they want someone with experience with junior college football, either as a player or a coach. Job is posted here.
Trinity (D-III - TX): Head coach Steve Mohr has decided to retire after 24 seasons leading the program, which included 12 playoff appearances and a 2002 national championship. Mohr will join the athletic administration staff as the Assistant Athletic Director for Football, effective immediately.
Louisiana College (D-III): Louisiana College, located in Pineville, is looking for games for the 2014 and 2015 playing seasons. Games needed are weeks 2 (September 13) and weeks 4 (September 27) with each corresponding week in 2015. Please email assistant coach Clay Matchett at email@example.com.
Southern Miss: Grad assistant Grant Garner will handle the offensive line duties for the remaining two games of the season.

Henderson State: A press conference is scheduled for tomorrow at 3pm EST to announce the school's new athletic director. For a while now we've been hearing that Central Missouri associate athletic director Shawn Jones is a leading candidate for the job.

Fresno State: In less than shocking news, Fresno State is working on an extension for Tim DeRuyter according to the Fresno Bee. "Folks can rest assured we'll be diligent about what we need to do," said athletics director Thomas Boeh. DeRuyter, 18-4 at Fresno State, is under contract through 2016 with a base salary of $650,000.
Western New Mexico (D-II): Sources tell us that passing game coordinator / quarterbacks coach Nick Garrett will not return. We also hear that defensive backs coach James Thomas has been promoted to defensive coordinator. At this time, we hear there are no specific position openings as the staff is doing some internal position restructuring.
Stony Brook (FCS): The school has decided to part ways with athletic director Jim Fiore, buying out the remaining 31 months of his contract.

Sul Ross State (D-III - TX): Sources tell us the entire staff at Sul Ross has been let go.
Whitworth (D-III - WA): Longtime head coach John Tully has resigned. Tully, who won 100 games as head coach at the university, finished this season 4-6. Athletic director Melinda Larson will lead the search for a new head coach.
Simon Fraser (D-II - Canada): Head coach Dave Johnson and defensive coordinator James Colzie III have been let go. In a release, SFU notes that offensive coordinator Nick Lucey has been retained. Will update.
Frostburg State (D-III - MD): Head coach Tom Rogish has announced his retirement.
Southern Miss: Offensive line coach Petey Perot is no longer with the staff. Southern Miss will handle the responsibilities within the staff for the remainder of the season.
Dakota Wesleyan (NAIA - SD): We hear head coach Ross Cimpl and offensive coordinator Zeke Prado have decided to go in a different direction with the offense and that Prado will not return to the staff. Wesleyan's offense led the league in a number of statistics but in looking to the future the coaches agreed to make a change.
Northwest Mississippi CC: After a one year hiatus, former offensive line coach Jim Jones has rejoined the Northwest Mississippi CC staff. Jones spent last season coaching the offensive line at Pearl River CC.
Webber International (NAIA - FL): Webber International University, located in Babson Park, FL is looking for 1 game for the 2014 – 2015 football seasons. Open dates in 2014 are Sept. 20, October 4th, and Nov 15th and corresponding dates in 2015. We will need a home game in 2014 and will return the trip in 2015. Mississippi College: Head coach Norman Joseph is resigning today. Joseph served as head coach for nine seasons highlight by going 9-3 (7-1 in conference) in 2009.
Nichols College (D-III - MA): Millis / Hopedale High School head coach Dale Olmsted has been hired as the new head coach at Nichols.
St. Vincent (D-III - PA): Head coach Bob Colbert has been relieved of his duties. A national search has begun and the program expects to name a new head coach in early January.
Sioux Falls (D-II - SD): We hear the open positions at Sioux Falls are expected to be filled from within the staff.

Nominations are now being accepted for the 2013 Coaches of the Year
The College of New Jersey (D-III): The school announced today that interim head coach Wayne Dickens will stay on as the program's full-time head coach.
Montreal Alouettes (CFL): The team has dismissed assistant head coach/offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Mike Miller and senior advisor to the head coach Doug Berry, according to TSN.
Southern Connecticut State (D-II): Sources tell us head coach Rich Cavanaugh is planning to retire.
Sioux Falls (D-II - SD): Defensive coordinator Robert Tucker has been let go and offensive line coach Casey Meile is leaving the staff to become Dean of Students for the university.
Southeastern Oklahoma (D-II): Sources tell us head coach Ray Richards has announced his resignation.
North Dakota (FCS): Head coach Chris Mussman has been let go. Mussman was 31-34 in six seasons as head coach. "A national search" will begin immediately.
Rhode Island (FCS): The University announced this morning that head coach Joe Trainer has been released from the final year of his contract. Athletic director Thorr Bjorn announced that a national search would begin immediately. In five seasons as head coach, Trainer's teams posted an overall 12-44 record.
Washington State: Athletic director Bill Moos has annouced that Mike Leach's contract has been extended through 2018. Moos explained that he's impressed with the job that Leach has done on and off the field during his short tenure at Wazzu. "He has elevated the program on the field, in the community and in the classroom. I believe he is among the best college football coaches in America and is a fantastic fit in Pullman.” Moos noted. At 5-5 Leach has led the program to the most wins at this point in the season since 2006.
Arkansas Tech (D-II): Sources tell us offensive coordinator Dean Norsworthy has stepped down. Norsworthy was in his third season at Arkansas Tech and also coached the quarterbacks.
Northwood (D-II - MI): Athletic director Pat Riepma is taking over the head coaching position. Riepma previously served as the head coach of the program for 15 seasons and is the all time winningest coach in school history.
Southwest Minnesota State (D-II): Southwest Minnesota State University is looking for a football graduate assistant (defensive backs). Responsibilities include practice/game preparation, recruiting, summer camps, equipment, video and all other aspects of the football program. Qualifications include acceptance into graduate school (3.0 minimum GPA), enrolled in a minimum of six credits per semester, and meet the MnSCU vehicle driving qualifications. Compensation package includes $8,000 and tuition waiver. Review of candidates will begin in on Nov. 20th and continue until filled. Expected start date on January 6th, 2014. Missouri State (FCS): Athletic director Kyle Moats has made it clear that the program will retain head coach Terry Allen for next season. Allen finished the season 5-7 (including wins in four of their last five games) and is 33-56 in eight seasons at Missouri State.
Nichols College (D-III - MA): Head coach Kevin Loney will not return.

Northwood (D-II - MI): Head coach Mike Sullivan has been relieved of his responsibilities as head coach (will move into a director of admissions role for the university). Look for a new head coach to be announced on Monday.
USC: Jay Glazer is reporting that Pat Haden has interviewed Jack Del Rio. A few more weeks to go on this one folks. Update: The Broncos have confirmed that Del Rio did indeed interview on Nov. 1.
Houston Texans: Gary Kubiak will coach from the booth today against the Oakland Raiders two weeks after suffering a mini-stroke on the field. Offensive coordinator Rick Dennison will head to the sideline, and Kubiak will retain all decision making.
