Tuesday morning: Coaches Quick Hits

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI): Blaise Zambrano has been promoted to defensive coordinator.  Jon Volpe has been hired to coach the defensive line.  Volpe is a former player at University of Albany.  Zambrano coached the defensive backs at RPI last season.

Monday morning: Coaches Quick Hits

Arkansas: Dann Kabala was recently promoted to recruiting / eligibility coordinator for the Razorbacks under head coach Bobby Petrino.

Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology: Jim Shiffer has joined the staff as offensive line coach.  Shiffer has served on the staffs at Millersville, Yale, Kutztown, and Pitt.

Memphis: Former Memphis Tiger and Detroit Lions' defensive lineman, Marcus Bell, has joined the staff as a player personnel assistant. 

UW-Stevens Point: We hear UW-Steven Point is looking for a tight ends coach.

Memphis: Former Texas Tech wide receiver Landon Hoefer has joined the Memphis staff as defensive quality control.

Nebraska: Former Nebraska quarterback Joe Ganz is still trying to catch on with a NFL  or UFL franchise, but if Ganz isn't on a roster in 2010, he will join the Nebraska staff as a grad assistant.  Ganz says head coach Bo Pelini has extended the offer already.
