NC State: NC State University has an immediate opening for a defensive graduate assistant position. Applicant must have playing or coaching experience on the defensive line. Prefer candidates with HS Coaching or GA experience. Must comply with NCAA rules in bowl subdivision football: a graduate assistant coach is any coach who has received a baccalaureate degree or has exhausted athletics eligibility (whichever occurs later) within the previous seven (7) years. Applicant must also gain acceptance to grad school and have a minimum of a 3.0 undergraduate GPA. Caldwell University (Sprint – NJ): Caldwell University is starting a new Sprint Football program and invites applications for a full-time Athletic Administrator/Head Coach, Sprint Football. Taylor (NAIA – IN): Taylor University is accepting applications for the position of defensive assistant. Qualifications include: collegiate coaching, recruiting experience, and a Bachelor’s degree. Harding (D-II – AR): Harding University is seeking applicants for a defensive graduate assistant working with DB’s. Most importantly, we are interested in men who have a desire to serve God and who see coaching as an avenue to impact lives for Christ. GA’s will receive $3,500 of tuition credit per semester. Emporia State (D-II – KS): Emporia State University, located in Emporia, KS is seeking applicants for a defensive graduate assistant working with the defensive line or defensive backfield. Compensation includes tuition and a monthly stipend. Housing is not a part of the package. Position includes but is not limited to: working with either the defensive line or defensive backs, video editing, equipment room, assisting with on-campus recruiting visits, having an out of region recruiting area, and other duties assigned by the head coach. Tennessee Titans: Ryan Cowden, an assistant college scouting director with the Panthers, has accepted the director of player personnel job with the Titans front office, per the Charlotte Observer.
Carolina Panthers: Assistant college scouting director Ryan Cowden is leaving for a position with the Tennessee Titans front office and college scout John Peterson has decided to retire, according to the Charlotte Observer.
Logan City Wolverines (Australia): The Logan City Wolverines of the National Gridiron League are seeking applicants for a running backs coach as well as a wide receivers coach. Collegiate coaching experience required, along with extensive HUDL experience. Candidates MUST be passport ready. This is a new professional league that will begin play in September of 2016. The contract will run from July 30, 2016 – January 29, 2017, with a club option for an extension.
