Central Arkansas: New defensive line coach Dan Augustine will also carry the responsibility of special teams coordinator.  Augustine previously served on the staff at Jacksonville State.

Illinois: Head coach Ron Zook has agreed to a one-year contract extension through January 2014.

North Carolina: Former University of Georgia offensive lineman, Daniel Inman, has been hired as the new offensive GA at UNC. 

Florida A&M: Juan Vasquez has been hired to coach the special teams.  The former FAMU player had been serving as a volunteer assistant for the staff.  Also, Jimmie Tyson has been promoted from defensive GA to a full-time position.

Furman: Former West Virginia student assistant, Chris Ball, is the new video coordinator at Furman.

ULM: Our sources have just told us that ULM will promote offensive GA, Marty Humphrey, to wide receivers coach.

Rutgers: We are hearing that former Albright College outside linebackers coach / video coordinator, Nate Slutzky, has accepted a position at Rutgers.  Our source tell us the Slutzky will be working with the defensive coaches and assisting with player development.

Kentucky Christian University: (NAIA, Mid South Conference) has an immediate opening for a defensive assistant. Experience with linebackers or defensive secondary is required.  Salary is $5,000 (10 month contract), room and board. Starting date is ASAP. Jacksonville State: Former Millsaps defensive line coach, Davern Williams, has joined the Jacksonville State staff as defensive line coach.

Oklahoma: We hear the Sooners have made a few staff changes.  Our sources tell us that John Flynn will take over as the offensive GA.  Former offensive GA, David White, will move into a full-time recruiting position off-the-field.  FootballScoop has also learned that former backup quarterback, Joey Halzle, will serve as the offensive quality control.

Tiffin University: Joe Nordin has joined the staff as a GA.

Edinboro: Matt Gillette has accepted the offensive line job.  This is Gillette's second stint at Edinboro.

Bucknell: Former Iona defensive coordinator, Ed Lynett, will coach the safeties at Bucknell.

Northern Arizona: Linebackers coach Andy Thompson will indeed serve as the defensive coordinator this season.  Thompson was promoted to interim defensive coordinator after Corey Batoon accepted the safeties job at Arkansas State.  Also, former UNLV defensive graduate assistant, Andy LaRussa, is now coaching the defensive backs.

Pace University: Former El Camino College tight ends / wide receivers coach, Mike Corona, will coach the wide receivers at Pace University this fall.

United States Merchant Marine Academy: Dave Tatti will coach the inside linebackers and Keith Runne will coach the outside linebackers this season.

University of St. Francis (IL): Former Eastern Illinois student assistant, Matt Jones, has accepted the tight ends job under head coach Mike Uremovich at University of St. Francis.

Wesleyan (WV): Former Wesleyan head coach Bill Stuble has accepted the head coaching job at Buckhannon Upshur HS.

Arizona St.:  FootballScoop has just learned that ASU has made some changes.  Alex Hammel is the new Def. GA and Pablo Cano is the new recruiting GA.  Derek Stamnos is the new football management intern.

San Francisco (UFL):  We hear that Trent Bray is Dennis Green's new LB's coach.  Bray was a GA at Arizona St.

Notre Dame: FootballScoop has learned that Notre Dame offensive intern, David Hanna, will participate in the Bill Walsh NFL Minority Coaches Internship with the Denver Broncos organization.  Hanna will be with the Broncos during training camp working with offensive coordinator Mike McCoy and special teams coordinator Mike Priefer.

South Florida: Former USF safety, J.R. Reed, will take over a defensive GA as long as he doesn't latch on with an NFL organization.  Reed is currently as unsigned free agent.
