Louisiana Swashbucklers (SIFL): We hear Head coach Darnell Lee has resigned to accept a position with the Alaska Wild of the Indoor Football League. The Swashbucklers of the Southern Indoor Football League are looking for a new head coach.

Alabama: We are hearing through our agent sources that athletic directors seem quite interested in learning more about Alabama offensive coordinator Jim McElwain. One source tells us that a particular AD with a very stable coaching staff has done some homework already on McElwain just preparing in case an unexpected situation rises (his head coach leaving). McElwain has done a phenomenal job during his two years in Tuscaloosa. He previously served on staffs at Fresno State, Oakland Raiders, Michigan State (asst head coach 2003-05), Louisville, and Montana State.

Western Illinois: FootballScoop has learned that Western Illinois head coach Don Patterson is stepping down due to personal health concerns dealing with cancer treatments. Offensive coordinator Mark Hendrickson will assume the head coaching responsibility.

Milwaukee Iron (Arena 2): Gary Compton will not return as head coach.
Kentucky Horsemen (Arena 2): The Horsemen have named Tommy Johnson as head coach. Johnson is the former Louisville Fire head coach. He is a former player at the University of Alabama. Johnson also played with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Spokane Shock (Arena 2): Spokane has named Rob Keefe head coach. Keefe served last season as defensive backs coach / special teams coordinator. This is Keefe's first head coaching job.
