Alcorn State: A crazy situation is going on at Alcorn State, where several assistant coaches were made aware of their dismissal by way of a notice left in their office mail box. Those coaches not returning are: Earnest Collins, associate head coach and defensive coordinator; Dino Dawson, offensive coordinator; Lorenzo Guess, strength and conditioning; Keith Majors, special teams; Jack Phillips, defensive backs; Terrance Robinson, running backs; and Zach Shay, defensive line/linebackers. Only offensive line coach Adam Shorter and wide receivers coach Michael Armour will keep their jobs.
Clemson: We hear Dabo Swinney is interested in hiring Mississippi State defensive coordinator Charlie Harbison to coach the defensive backs at Clemson.
New Mexico State: Assistant athletic director Charley Johnson has been named interim head coach. Johnson is a former Cardinals and Broncos quarterback. Johnson, who has no coaching experience, could lead the team for an extended period.
North Carolina A&T: Sources tell FootballScoop that North Carolina A&T is interested in talking with Praire View head coach Henry Frazier III.
Washington: The Seattle Times is reporting that Texas Tech head coach Mike Leach has interviewed with Washington officials. Also, USC offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian interviewed for the head coaching position over Thanksgiving.

South Carolina: Sources tell FootballScoop that Mississippi State offensive coordinator Woody McCorvey has accepted a position at South Carolina. It is believed that McCorvey will coach the wide receivers.

Clemson: Defensive coordinator Vic Koenning resigned his position.
Oregon: An Oregon newspaper is reporting that a major announcement is coming this afternoon in Eugene. It appears Mike Bellotti will become the new athletic director at Oregon. Chip Kelly is expected to be named head coach when Bellotti officially becomes athletic director.

Clemson: Reports are that Dabo Swinney is interested in hiring Maryland special teams coordinator Danny Pearman.
Syracuse: Temple head coach Al Golden has interviewed.
Utah State: Utah defensive coordinator Gary Anderson interviewed for a 2nd time today.
UT-Chattanooga: Sources tell us that UT-Martin head coach Jason Simpson will interview tomorrow at UT-Chattanooga.

Cincinnati: Head coach Brian Kelly says that he will remain at Cincinnati and has no interest in leaving the university.
