Western Illinois: FootballScoop has learned that Western Illinois head coach Don Patterson is stepping down due to personal health concerns dealing with cancer treatments. Offensive coordinator Mark Hendrickson will assume the head coaching responsibility.

Milwaukee Iron (Arena 2): Gary Compton will not return as head coach.

Kentucky Horsemen (Arena 2): The Horsemen have named Tommy Johnson as head coach.  Johnson is the former Louisville Fire head coach.  He is a former player at the University of Alabama.  Johnson also played with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Spokane Shock (Arena 2): Spokane has named Rob Keefe head coach. Keefe served last season as defensive backs coach / special teams coordinator.  This is Keefe's first head coaching job.

Akron: FootballScoop has confirmed with sources at Akron that running backs coach / recruiting coordinator Reno Ferri has been suspended with pay for reasons associated with NCAA compliance.

Dartmouth: Brian Mann has been hired as Director of Football Operations.  Mann is a former Dartmouth graduate that spent the last 2 years out of football, working in the business in Washington D.C.

2010 Army All-American Game - East Squad: We are hearing that Maryville HS (TN) head coach George Quarles will serve as the head coach of the East.  The game takes place in San Antonio on January 9th.

Potential replacements for Myles Brand as next NCAA President: Bernard L. Franklin, NCAA executive vice president. Walter Harrison, president of the University of Hartford. Gene Smith, athletic director and associate vice president, Ohio State University. Michael L. Slive, commissioner, Southeastern Conference. Condoleezza Rice, a former U.S. secretary of state and a professor at Stanford University.
