Cleveland Browns: Head coach Eric Mangini has promoted offensive quality control coach George McDonald to wide receivers coach.  McDonald was hired in January after serving as an assistant coach at University of Minnesota.

Sacramento State: Our sources tell us University of Washington offensive GA Klayton Adams has just accepted the tight ends job at Sacramento State.  Adams had joined the UW staff under new head coach Steve Sarkisian.

Midwestern State University:  Located in Wichita Falls, TX is a NCAA Division II University in the Lone Star Conference is seeking qualified applicants for a restricted earnings position coaching an offensive skill position (QB, RB or WR).  Position includes coaching, administrative duties assigned by the Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator.  Knowledge of Webb Video Editing System preferred. Coaching or playing experience at NCAA Div. I, Div. I-AA or Div. Indianapolis Colts: There is a report that veteran offensive line coach Howard Mudd has decided to retire.  Mudd is apparently opting to retire after the team recently changed its pension plan.  In March, league owners voted to allow teams to opt out of the league-run pension plan.

Texas College: Athletic director Rickey Carson will take over as the new head football coach at Texas College.  Carson began serving as AD in February at Texas College.  His coaching career includes stops at Paul Quinn, Alcorn State, Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Norfolk State, and Mississippi Valley State.

Anna Maria College: Former Olivet College offensive line coach Bob Frey has joined the staff as offensive coordinator. 


Texas College: Officials have surprisingly decided not to renew the contract of head coach Jay Brown.  Texas College is without any coaches at this point as 3 assistant accepted other positions within the past month. 


JOB POSTING:


Allegheny College: a rigorous selective liberal arts college and NCAA Division 3 member of the North Coast Athletic Conference invites applications for the position of Assistant Football Coach (offense).  This is a ten-month, intern position with a competitive salary.  Bachelor's degree required; Masters Degree preferred. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assist the head coach with the organization and direction of the offensive skill positions of the NCAA Division III football program. Specific responsibilities include identification and on the road recruitment of athletically and academically qualified student-athletes; regular practice sessions and game preparation; and assisting with the management of equipment, team travel, program budgets, public/alumni relations and promoting the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program. The successful candidate must possess and will demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills, good work ethic and self-motivation, the ability and willingness to be a positive role model, department member and representative of the College. Two years of coaching experience required.  Additional duty such as event management, intramural or club sport supervision will be assigned by Athletic Director. Allegheny College is a Carnegie I national liberal arts college that ranks among the top 7% of all institutions in the production of future Ph.D.'s, business leaders and other professionals.  The College is located in Northwest Pennsylvania, north of Pittsburgh.  Its picturesque location is ideal for outdoor recreation, with eight freshwater lakes, ski areas and recreational opportunities all within easy reach.
