UCF: George O'Leary is "giving strong consideration" to stepping down this season per Bruce Feldman. Feldman reports tonight that the move could happen as soon as following UCF's first game, against Penn State in Ireland. Feldman reports that Brent Key would be promoted to head coach. UCF AD Todd Stansbury said tonight that there have been "no discussions of that nature at this point." The idea of O'Leary stepping down and Key taking over wouldn't surprise anyone in the profession and has been rumored in the past; but doing so following the first game of the season is a bit hard to understand. Update> O'Leary has denied the report, saying, "I don't know anything about that stuff and where it came from. I never spoke to anybody from Fox...I don't have any idea what that's about."
