Wofford: is accepting applications for Volunteer Video Coordinator/Quality Control for the 2011 football season. Responsibilities include: Working with the DVSport video system, practice and game input as well as opponent breakdown. Preferred qualifications include: Previous experience working with an editing system, coaching experience and or a desire to pursue a coaching career. UCONN: Mike Cerullo has joined the staff as offensive quality control.  Also, Oklahoma assistant video coordinator Jason Sanders accepted the assistant director of video at UCONN.

San Jose State: We have learned that Northern Arizona corners coach Andy LaRussa accepted the corners job at San Jose State.

UAB: The UAB Board of Trustees has approved a 1-year extension to the contract of head coach Neil Callaway and a 2-year deal for defensive coordinator Tommy West.  West will be paid $175,000 annually.  Callaway now has two years left on his deal that pays him a base salary of $378,000 per year.  His 1-year extension is contingent upon the 2010-11 APR score being higher than 925.

Sacramento State: Former Nebraska-Omaha assistant Conor Riley is the new offensive line coach at Sacramento State.

Saint Vincent College: We hear wide receivers coach Bret Colbert has been promoted to offensive coordinator.

Lehigh University: Our sources tell us that Gettysburg College defensive backs coach Charles Alexander has accepted the assistant defensive backs job at Lehigh University.

University of Buffalo: We have learned that running backs coach Mike Daniels will resign and relocate to pursue another opportunity.

San Jose State: We have learned that San Jose State corners coach Kenji Green has resigned his position.  Our sources tell us head coach Mike MacIntyre already has a replacement.

Kansas: Vic Shealy has been promoted to defensive coordinator.  Defensive line coach Buddy Wyatt adds the title of co-defensive coordinator.

Washington State: Jason Gesser is the new offensive quality control for the Cougars.

Kilgore JC: We have learned that co-offensive coordinator / offensive line coach Chris Jirgens has resigned to accept a job in private business.

Rhodes College: Our sources tell us that offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach Rich DeMaio has added the title of recruiting coordinator.

Western Kentucky: The director of football operations job is NOT open.

Kansas: Defensive coordinator / linebackers coach Carl Torbush has decided to retire.  Torbush was recently diagnosed with low grade prostate cancer.

Ohio State: Head coach Jim Tressel has resigned.  Luke Fickell will serve as the interim head coach for the entire 2011 season.

Western New Mexico University: is hiring an Inside Linebacker Coach. The position can be either a straight coaching position or a GA position. The pay is $3000 per semester. The stipend can be used to pay for Graduate Classes which would leave $1800-$1200 per semester depending on class load or the whole $3000 per semester stipend can be kept by the coach. The position also includes a dorm room and meal card. The position will include coaching ILBs, strength duties, assisting special teams, recruiting, and other duties assigned by the Head Coach. We are looking for a candidate with experience either coaching or playing inside linebacker at the college level, with coaching experience preferred. Strength experience and special teams experience is also a plus. There is also an opportunity for additional income based on camps and how quickly the candidate can report to work.
