Green Bay Packers: Ted Thompson, the team's executive vice president, GM, and director of football operations, has signed a new multi-year contract team president / CEO Mark Murphy has announced. Thompson is entering his tenth season with the Packers organization.
Montreal Alouettes (Canada): Hall of Fame head coach Don Matthews, and former NFL quarterback Turk Schonert have been added to the coaching staff as consultants. Matthews led the team to two Grey Cup appearances from 2002-2006 and is the all-time leader in CFL coaching victories (231) and Grey Cup wins as a head coach (5).
University of Chicago (D-III - IL): Per source, defensive coordinator / linebackers coach Justin Weaver has stepped down to pursue other opportunities.
American International (D-II - MA): Offensive line coach Bo Reardon has announced his retirement.
Oberlin (D-III - OH): Head coach Jay Anderson has announced the additions of Adam Schmidt (DL / player performance), Adam Sopkovich (WRs), and Mo Watts (LBs). Scmidt worked as the defensive line coach at Indiana University of Pennsylvania since 2008, Sopkovich spent last year as the head coach at Warrensville Heights HS (OH), and Watts served as a grad assistant at Miami (OH) the last two seasons.
Rhodes College (D-III - TN): Head coach Dan Gritti has hired two assistant coaches. White Station HS (TN) defensive coordinator Pete Cordelli will coach the running backs and Walsh University (D-II - OH) assistant defensive backs coach will be in charge of the defensive backs. Cordelli has had previous coaching stops at Notre Dame, Western Michigan, Arkansas, Minnesota, Memphis, and is the former head coach at Kent State.
Washington Redskins: Richmond receivers coach Fontel Mines is helping out the Redskins as part of the Bill Walsh Minority Fellowship program.
