UCONN: Our sources tell us Allegheny College quarterbacks coach Andrew Breiner has accepted the offensive GA position at UCONN.

Detroit Lions: Former St. Louis Rams head coach Scott Linehan has accepeted the offensvie coordinator position with the Detroit Lions.

NY Jets: Brian Schottenheimer will remain as offensive coordinator.

St. Louis Rams: Pat Shurmer is the new offensive coordinator.  Shurmer previously served as quarterbacks coach with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Green Bay Packers: Utah State cornerbacks coach John Rushing has joined the Green Bay staff.

Miami: We hear Miami will not name an offensive coordinator today as reported by multiple other sources.  Oregon State offensive coordinator Danny Langsdorf is not a candidate.

NY Giants: We hear former Michigan defensive coordinator Jim Hermann is set to join the Giants staff as linebackers coach.

Utah State: LSU assistant strength coach Cory Raymond has been hired to coach the cornerbacks.

Syracuse: Montreal Alouettes wide receivers coach Jamie Elizondo has accepted the wide receivers job at Syracuse.

Tampa Bay Bucs: Veteran defensive coordinator Jim Bates has accepted the DC position with Tampa Bay.

Toronto Argonauts: Ron Heller has been hired as the offensive coordinator.  Heller served as the Montana State television analyst the last few years.

Middle Tennessee St.:  We hear Rick Stockstill has spoken with former Auburn OC Tony Franklin.

Ball State: Running backs coach Eddie Faulkner has been promoted to offensive coordinator / running backs.  Assistant coach John Powers will add the title of recruiting coordinator.

Denver Broncos: Head coach Josh McDaniels has hired his younger brother, Ben, as an offensive assistant.  Don Martindale has been hired to coach the linebackers.  Martindale previously served the last 5 seasons at the linebackers coach for the Oakland Raiders.  Former Iowa State wide receivers coach Jay Rogers has also been hired as a coaching assistant.

Faulkner University: We hear Faulkner will announce the new head coach next week.

Indianapolis Colts: We hear Larry Coyer will be named defensive coordinator.  Coyer previously served as assistant head coach for the Tampa Bay Bucs.

UT-Martin: We hear UT-Martin is looking to hire a new defensive line coach.

Christopher Newport University: Phoebus HS (VA) head coach Bill Dee will join the staff as an assistant coach.

Illinois State: Former Emporia State defensive line coach Spence Nowinski has been hired as defensive line coach.

Muskigum: Matt Louis will coach the linebackers.

Illinois: University of Houston offensive line coach Joe Gilbert has accepted the same position on Ron Zook's staff at Illinois.

Miami: We hear head coach Randy Shannon is getting close to naming an offensive coordinator.  Our sources tell us the job could narrow down to Oregon State offensive coordinator Danny Langsdorf and Philadephia Eagles assistant Mark Whipple.   

New England Patriots: Former Duke University quarterbacks coach (2005-2006), Bill O'Brien, will coach the quarterbacks.

NY Jets: Former Baltimore Ravens assistant Mike Pettine will be named defensive coordinator.  We hear Mike Westhoff will coach the special teams.  Bill Callahan will coach the offensive line.

North Dakota State: Linebackers coach Kyle Nystrom will not return to the staff next season.

Ole Miss: Our sources tell us former Ole Miss linebacker Lanier Goethie has accepted the defensive GA position. Former Arkansas quarterback Clark Irwin will serve as the new offensive GA.

San Diego Chargers: University of Pittsburgh defensive GA Greg Williams will be named assistant linebackers coach.  We hear Menlo College (CA) defensive coordinator Chris Dishman will be named assistant secondary coach.
