Akron: As we reported earlier, Walt Harris has accepted the quarterbacks / passing game coordinator position at Akron.

Iowa State: University of South Florida defensive coordinator Wally Burnham is leaving to accept the same position at Iowa State.

Minnesota: Houston Texans special teams assistant Richard Hightower is joining the Minnesota staff under Tim Brewster as wide receivers coach. 

Rutgers: We hear offensive coordinator John McNulty has talked with the Arizona Cardinals regarding the open wide receivers job.
Tuesday February 17, 2009 (Update 2)

Harvard: We hear Tony Reno has joined the staff as linebackers / special teams coordinator.  Reno previously served on the staff at Yale, where he served as assistant head coach / defensive backs coach.

Oregon: Peter Sirmon has joined the staff as a graduate assistant. 


Carroll University (WI): has an opening for a Graduate Assistant position.  In the past the position has been Wide Receivers, however candidates from all positional backgrounds are encouraged to apply.  This position will include coaching a position, recruiting your own area, and various administrative duties.  The position will also consist of a strength and conditioning component; special consideration given to those with certification.  This is an 11-month position and benefits consist of: monthly stipend ($1,000), full tuition, and discounted housing.  Please email cover letter, resume, and references to <This email address is being protected from spambots. Chaffey College: We hear Compton College head coach Jason Brown has accepted the offensive coordinator job at Chaffey College.  It appears assistant head coach Sean Fernandes could be promoted to head coach at Compton College.

Colorado: Former Illinois State head coach Denver Johnson has accepted the offensive line coach at Colorado.

Los Angeles Southwest CC: We hear former UCLA wide receivers coach Eric Scott will interview for the wide receivers job.  Scott is serving as the head coach at Compton Centennial HS (CA).

Minnesota Vikings: Our sources tell us that Diron Reynolds will be named assistant defensive line coach with the Vikings.

Notre Dame: Our sources have just informed us that former Maryland graduate assistant Brian White has accepted the offensive GA position under Charlie Weis.  White served as the interim tight ends coach / special teams coordinator during the Maryland bowl preparations.

Auburn: We hear former Iowa State tight ends coach / recruiting coordinator Scott Fountain will join the Auburn staff in an off-the-field capacity.

North Carolina: UNC tight ends coach Steve Hagan is returning to the NFL.  We hear Hagan will once again coach for the Cleveland Browns.

Western Kentucky: Our sources tell us that quarterbacks coach Kevin Wright and defensive backs coach Travaris Robinson are leaving the WKU program.
