Clemson: Illinois assistant Mike Locksley has interviewed with Clemson athletic director Terry Don Phillips.

Greensboro College: Randy Hunt has been named head coach.  Hunt has been serving as a professor at Greensboro College since 2003.

Missouri: Gary Pinkel has reached a long term agreement with Missouri to remain as head coach.  It is being reported the Pinkel will be paid approximately 2.5 million per year, making him one of the highest paid coaches in the country.

Iona: Coaches at Iona University (NY) held a meeting notifying the players that the program has been canceled. 

Kansas State: We continue to hear that the job is Gary Patterson's if he wants it. 

New Mexico: University of Arizona offensive coordinator Sonny Dykes is a serious candidate at New Mexico. A third party has spoken with Dykes to gauge his interest in the job.  Sonny Dykes is the son of former Texas Tech legendary head coach Spike Dykes.

Bently College: Head coach Peter Yetten has announced his retirement.  Yetten's finished with an overall career record of 225-81-2 included 154-60-1 in 21 varsity seasons.

New Mexico: Former Auburn offensive coordinator Al Borges is a candidate.

Southern Arkansas: Terry Bowden (former Auburn head coach) and Andy Siegal are two more names in the mix.  Siegal received his master's degree from Southern Arkansas and served as a graduate assistant under the current athletic director.  Siegal currently serves as the offensive coordinator at the College of Sequoias in California. 

Trinity Bible College: The head coaching job is open.

Washington: Notre Dame offensive coordinator Mike Haywood will interview at Washington for the head coaching position.

Clemson: We hear athletic director Terry Don Phillips is now seriously considering Virginia Tech's Bud Foster for the Clemson head coaching position.  Phillips was very impressed with Foster during an interview last week.

Tennessee: Knoxville News is reporting Brian Kelly has emerged as the leading candiate at Tennessee.  9 days ago, FootballScoop learned that Tennesse athletic director intended to speak with Kelly.

Virginia Tech: Virginia Tech athletic director Jim Weaver has put in a call to Texas athletic director DeLoss Dodds to research the process of naming a coach-in-waiting.  Weaver is in the early stages of considering Bud Foster for the coach-in-waiting at Virginia Tech.

New Mexico: Danny Gonzales has been named interim head coach at New Mexico.  Gonzales was in charge of coaching the safeties and punters.  Gonzales is in his third season on the coaching staff, but he has been affiliated with the Lobo football program since 1994. He spent three years in charge of the UNM video department before joining the coaching staff in 2006.  

New Mexico: We hear that Florida head coach Urban Meyer has already spoken with New Mexico athletic director Paul Krebs.  Meyer is likely recommending Florida DC Charlie Strong and/or OC Dan Mullen.  Krebs is the former athletic director at Bowling Green from 2001-2007.  He is responsible for giving Urban Meyer his first head coaching job (Bowling Green 2001).
