Cirtus College (CA): We hear the job at Cirtus College has just opened up.
Syracuse: Cincinnati Bengals assistant Paul Alexander has interviewed for the head coaching position at Syracuse. The New York State High School Coaches Association has heavily endorsed Alexander.
Toronto Argonauts: Sources tell FootballScoop that former NY Giants head coach Jim Fassel will interview today for the head coaching position with the Toronto Argonauts.
Towson University: We hear that head coach Gordy Combs has just been dismissed as head football coach. Towson finished 3-7 this season and 1-5 in the Colonial Athletic Association.
Wyoming: Sources tell FootballScoop that Missouri offensive GA Matt Rahl will be heading to Wyoming with Dave Christensen.

Hinds Community College (MS): FootballScoop has just learned that head coach Mike Smith has resigned. Hinds CC is thought by many to be the best JUCO job in country.
Iowa State: Sources tell FootballScoop that Gene Chizik is interested in talking with Samford University defensive coordinator Billy D'Ottavio. D'Ottavio served as the secondary coach at Central Florida when Chizik was the defensive coordinator.
Texas A&M - Commerce: FootballScoop has learned that Scott Conley has been dismissed as head football coach at Texas A&M - Commerce.
UT-Chattanooga: We hear that Lambuth University (NAIA) head coach Hugh Freeze will interview today at UT-Chattanooga.
Delta State University (D2): Located in Cleveland, MS is looking for two graduate assistants (one defensive emphasis & one video emphasis) starting in January 2009. Black Hills State University (SD): Head coach John Scott has announced his resignation.
Clemson: Dabo Swinney signed a five-year contract.
LSU: Without a position open on the staff, LSU insiders insist that former Tennessee defensive coordinator John Chavis will end up as the defensive coordinator at LSU.
Northwestern State: The search for a new head football coach at Northwestern State could lead to Southern Miss assistant Ark Kaufman or LSU co-defensive coordinator Bradley Dale Peveto.
Penn: Offensive coordinator Bill Schmitz will not return.
Toledo: Missouri defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus interviewed on Sunday. We continue to hear that Toledo is very interested in Dan McCarney. McCarney serves as the defensive line coach at Florida. He is the former Iowa State head coach.

New Mexico State: Hal Mumme has been dismissed as head football coach.
Purdue: Offensive coordinator Ed Zaunbrecher and tight ends & tackles coach John McDonell will not be retained. Florida Atlantic offensive coordinator Gary Nord has been hired as offensive coordinator. Former Eastern Kentucky offensive line coach Shawn Clark has been hired in the same capacity. Purdue graduate assistant J.B. Gibboney has been promoted to special teams coordinator.

Clemson: Dabo Swinney has been named head coach at Clemson.
New Mexico: We hear that Oklahoma assistant Joe DeForest is not a finalist. Sources tell us that New York Jets assistant Noel Mazzone has expressed interest. New Mexico has spoken with Oklahoma State assistant Curtis Looper.
Saint Paul's College (VA): Defensive line assistant Bernard Griffin is no longer with the staff.
Toledo: We hear that the job is down to Dan McCarney and one more candidate that isn't getting a lot of press. McCarney is currently the defensive line coach at Florida. He previously served as the head coach at Iowa State. Our sources tell us that Arizona assistant Mark Stoops is not going to get the job.
