Black Hills State University: Offensive coordinator Jay Long has been promoted to head coach.

Cleveland Browns: GM Phil Savage will not return; and Romeo Crennel is out as well.  

Detroit Lions: Reports are that head coach Rod Marinelli is out as head coach.

Miami (OH): Sources tell us that Mike Haywood is interested in bringing Jappy Oliver to Miami (OH).

New York Jets: Sources tell FootballScoop that head coach Eric Mangini has just been dismissed as head coach.

North Carolina A&T: We hear NC A&T has offered the head coaching job to Prairie View A&M head coach Henry Frazier. 

San Diego State: We hear former New Mexico head coach Rocky Long will be named defensive coordinator at San Diego State.

San Francisco 49ers: Mike Singeltary is expected to sign a 5-year contract to become the head football coach of the 49ers.

Tulsa: Offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn has accepted the offensive coordinator position at Auburn.  Offensive line coach Herb Hand has been promoted to offensive coordinator.  Special teams coordinator Bill Blankenship will now also coach the quarterbacks.  Graduate assistant Mike Norvell has been promoted to wide receivers coach / passing game coordinator.

Auburn: Sources tell FootballScoop that Auburn has hired Gus Malzahn from Tulsa to be their Offensive Coordinator.

Tulane:  We hear that Tulane has offered the Defensive Coordinator job to Steve Stanard (defensive line coach at Ohio U).

Auburn: We hear that none of the former Iowa State assistant have been hired as of yet.

Cal Poly: Sources tell FootballScoop that Boise State assistant Brent Pease and San Diego assistant Steve Mooshagian are pursuing the Cal Poly job.

Florida: Offensive line coach Steve Addazio has been promoted to offensive coordinator.

Utah State: Hawaii assistant coach Alex Gerke is joining the Utah State staff.

Cal Poly: We hear San Francisco 49ers special teams assistant Dave Fipp is interested in the head coaching job at Cal Poly.

Georgia: It appears offensive line coach Stacey Searels will stay at UGA. Auburn head coach Gene Chizik has expressed interest in hiring Searels. 

LSU: We hear LSU has found their replacement for co-defensive coordinator Bradley Dale Peveto.  Peveto recently accepted the head coaching job at Northwestern State (LA). The Tigers are not expected to make the announcement until after the bowl game.

Michigan State: Head coach Mark Dantonio has agreed to a revised contract that will bring his annual total income to an estimated 1.8 million.

Mississippi State: We hear veteran defensive coordinator Carl Torbush is likely to end up in Starkville.

New Mexico: We hear Mike Locksley is going to hire North Dakota State defensive coordinator Willie Mack Garza.

New Mexico State: There is a report that UCLA defensive coordinator is expected to be on campus at NMSU on Monday.  It appears the Aggies are getting closer to hiring Walker.

Auburn: Linebackers coach James Willis has been retained.   Phillip Lolley (Director of NFL relations), Chette Williams (chaplain) have also been retained.
