Minnesota Vikings: The Vikings have hired former Houston Texans special teams coordinator Joe Marciano as interim special teams coordinator while special teams coordinator Mike Priefer serves his regular season suspension. 

Michigan Tech (D-II): Bryan Thomas has moved from tight ends coach to defensive line and has also been promoted to special teams coordinator. Also, Josh Wood has been promoted from grad assistant to secondary coach.

St. Vincent (D-III - PA): Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, PA has an immediate opening for a secondary coach. This is an intern position and compensation is in the $7,000-$8,000 range. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Computer and Hudl proficiency also preferred. Prior coaching or playing experience at the college or high school level. Looking for someone to be on campus immediately. Omaha Mammoths (FXFL): The Omaha Mammoths, a charter member of the Fall Experimental Football League, are now accepting resumes for assistant coaching positions. Colorado State: The Rams have announced a contract extension with head coach Jim McElwain through at least the 2019 season. The new contract, which has reportedly been in the works for a while, increases his salary from $1.35 million to $1.5 million; the new deal also includes an initial $7.5 million buyout, and it remains at that figure as long as he has five years remaining on his contract. It's worth noting that Colorado State fired athletics director Jack Graham on Friday. McElwain led Colorado State to an 8-6 campaign in 2013, its most wins since 2002. 

Oklahoma Panhandle State: OPSU has hired for Kansas receiver Marcus Herford to fill the open receivers position. Herford most recently coached at Valdosta State in 2012.

Southwest Minnesota State (D-II): Southwest Minnesota State University is looking for a graduate assistant (defensive line). Qualifications include acceptance into graduate school (3.0 minimum GPA), enrolled in a minimum of six credits per semester, and meet the MnSCU vehicle driving qualifications. UW-Sout (D-III): Per source, Chase Vogler, a former national championship quarterback at Minnesota-Duluth, has accepted the quarterbacks coach / pass game coordinator job at Wisconsin-Stout. Vogler served as a volunteer assistant on last year's UMD staff.

UCF: Last night Bruce Feldman (FoxSports) published a report saying George O'Leary was considering stepping down this season, possibly as early as following their first game. Late last night O'Leary publicly denied the report noting that he hadn't heard from anyone at Fox. This morning O'Leary spoke with Jeremy Fowler (CBS), telling him that he will not retire this season. Fowler noted that O'Leary is under contract through 2017 and Fowler reported that O'Leary "intimated he'd like to see a healthy portion of that contract through."

UCF: George O'Leary is "giving strong consideration" to stepping down this season per Bruce Feldman. Feldman reports tonight that the move could happen as soon as following UCF's first game, against Penn State in Ireland. Feldman reports that Brent Key would be promoted to head coach. UCF AD Todd Stansbury said tonight that there have been "no discussions of that nature at this point." The idea of O'Leary stepping down and Key taking over wouldn't surprise anyone in the profession and has been rumored in the past; but doing so following the first game of the season is a bit hard to understand. Update> O'Leary has denied the report, saying, "I don't know anything about that stuff and where it came from. I never spoke to anybody from Fox...I don't have any idea what that's about." 

Pikeville (NAIA - KY): UPike head coach Dudley Hilton announced this morning that he is stepping down for "personal and health" reasons. Folks we have spoken with believe offensive coordinator Al Holland Jr. will be named head coach moving forward but that is not official at this time. 

UW-Stevens Point (D-III): Assistant Scott Rice has accepted the head coaching position at Sheboygan South HS (WI). 

Arizona Western College (JC): Located in Yuma, Arizona, Arizona Western is searching for a Linebackers coach. This is a part-time position with a stipend of $6,800 plus housing. Responsibilities will include recruiting and coaching your own position. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, collegiate playing experience and or coaching experience, excellent communication and leadership skills. Morehead State (FCS - KY): Northeastern State (D-II - OK) co-defensive coordinator Casey Carlo has joined the staff as linebackers coach. Carlo's addition completes head coach Rob Tenyer's staff.

Coaching veteran Perry Moss, who had a 50-year coaching career that included stops at Florida State, UCF and Kentucky, passed away last night at age 88. Please join us in praying for his family during this tough time.

Colorado State: Athletic director Jack Graham has been fired. University President Tony Frank stated this afternoon that the two simply had irreconcilable differences over the direction of the department. More to come on this... 

Miami Dolphins: The Dolphins have announced that New York Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum has been hired as a franchise consultant.

Bluffton (D-III - OH): Former linebacker Josh Runda has been hired as a defensive grad assistant and will work with the linebackers. Defensive coordinator Rashawn West will work with the secondary.

Arkansas Tech (D-II): Per source, Dan Lounsbury (former offensive coordinator at Tulsa, A&M Commerce, Houston, etc...) will be the new offensive coordinator at Arkansas Tech.

Crown College (D-III - MN): Crown College is looking for a small stipend receivers coach, this stipend does not include housing or meals.
