Auburn: FootballScoop has confirmed that Ole Miss defensive line coach Tracy Rocker has accepted the defensive line position at his alma mater, Auburn University. 

Boston College: We hear Boston College is very close to naming a head coach.  Our sources tell us Skip Holtz is not among the candidates.

Denver Broncos: Reports are that New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels will be named head coach.

Harvard: We hear Yale assistant Tony Reno will take the special teams coordinator position at Harvard.

Miami: Our sources tell us that head coach Randy Shannon has spoken with LA Tech offensive coordinator Frank Scelfo.  We were told again that Shannon is not targeting Houston offensive coordinator Dana Holgerson, as many reports have suggested.

TCU: We hear head coach Gary Patterson has spoken with outside candidates to replace offensive coordinator Mike Schultz, who has left for Illinois.

Bowling Green: Despite internet reports regarding the offensive line job at Bowling Green, Ed Zaunbrecher has not taken the job.  We hear that the that job has been accepted by John McDonnell. 

Upper Iowa: Our sources tell us that Tom Shay will be named head coach at Upper Iowa.

Boston College: We hear East Carolina head coach Skip Holtz will interview.  We hear Boston College AD Gene DeFilippo has talked with Florida offensive coordinator Steve Addazio.

Chicago Bears: Former Detroit Lions head coach Rod Marinelli is the new assistant head coach / defensive line coach with the Bears.

Eastern Michigan: Our sources tell us head coach Ron English has offered the wide receivers job to Appalachian State wide receivers coach A.C. Carter.

Georgia: Wide receivers coach John Eason will move into an administrative position, assuming the role of football operations.  Running backs coach Tony Ball will now coach the wide receivers.  Offensive graduate assistant Bryan McClendon has been promoted to running backs coach.

Kansas:  Bill Miller will be joining the Kansas staff as co-defensive coordinator.  Miller was just recently promoted to defensive coordinator at Louisville, having replaced Ron English. 

Miami: Despite internet reports, our sources tell us Houston offensive coordinator Dana Holgerson is not a candidate. 

NY Jets: We hear the Jets have interviewed Stanford head coach Jim Harbaugh.

San Francisco 49ers: Mike Singletary will interview Cleveland Browns offensive coordinator Rob Chudzinski for the offensive coordinator position.

Seattle Seahawks: Former Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Joe Barry is set to become the new linebackers coach in Seattle.  Former NY Jets defensive line coach Dan Quinn will be the defensive line coach in Seattle.  Tampa Bay linebackers coach Casey Bradley will be the defensive coordinator.

Black Hills State University: will be accepting applications for the position of Assistant Football Coach. The coaching emphasis requires experience and expertise in the positions of quarterback and wide receiver. Responsibilities include assisting the Head Coach in directing all aspects of a highly competitive football program including compliance with NAIA, Conference, and University rules and regulations; recruitment of qualified student-athletes; and retention of student-athletes. Other responsibilities may include instruction within the Division of Physical Education and Health and/or administrative duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics. Master's degree in physical education or related field preferred. This is a full-time, 9-month non-tenure appointment. Salary is based on experience. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. Anticipated starting date is mid-January, 2009. Auburn: Former Auburn defensive lineman DeMarco McNeil will return as defensive GA.  Gabe Rodriguez and Dustin Landry will serves as defensive quality control.  Both served on the Iowa State staff last season.  Chris Martin will serve as the offensive quality control.

Cal Poly: Our sources tell us former Toledo defensive backs coach Greg Lupher will be the defensive coordinator.  We hear Jim Craft is set to become the offensive coordinator.

Eastern Michigan: Former Toledo quarterbacks coach Ken Karcher has been hired as offensive coordinator.  Former Louisville secondary coach Eric Lewis will serve as defensive coordinator.

Idaho: We hear former Army offensive line coach Saga Tuitele is leaving to take the same position at Idaho.

King's College: King's College is no longer accepting resumes for the intern position.

Maryland: We hear special teams coordinator Scott O'Brien is joining Eric Mangini's staff in Cleveland.

Merced College: We hear head coach Tony Lewis has resigned.

Middle Tennessee State: We hear head coach Rick Stockstill has a pretty good idea of who he will hire to replace G.A. Mangus.

Minnesota: Former Wisconsin and Nebraska defensive coordinator Kevin Cosgrove has been hired as co-defensive coordinator at Minnesota.  Cosgrove sat out this past season.  Also, defensive backs coach Ronnie Lee has been promoted to co-defensive coordinator.

North Dakota State: Head coach Craig Bohl is now looking to fill both coordinator positions.  Interviews will take place at the AFCA Convention.

South Carolina: Steve Spurrier has hired Middle Tennesseee State offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach G.A. Mangus to coach the quarterbacks. 

UMASS: Our sources tell us that Fordham head coach Tom Masella is interested in the UMASS job.  As we reported yesterday, UMASS head coach Don Brown has accepted the defensive coordinator job at Maryland.

UMASS: FootballScoop has confirmed that UMASS head football coach Don Brown has just resigned to accept the defensive coordinator position at Maryland.

Mississippi State: Our sources tell us that Dan Mullen has hired Florida tight ends / assistant offensive line coach John Hevesy to coach the offensive line at Mississippi State. 

Florida: We hear Urban Meyer has spoken with long time Miami Hurricanes offensive line coach Art Kehoe.
