Idaho: Rob Christoff is set to join the Idaho staff as linebackers coach.  Christoff previously served as a graduate assistant at Boise State.  Before joining the Boise State staff, Christoff coached at Montana State and Idaho State.

Texas Southern: We hear Texas A&M defensive GA Archie McDaniel has been hired to coach the linebackers.

Eastern Illinois: Our sources tell us that head coach Bob Spoo has been offered a contract extension.  We hear defensive coordinator Roc Bellantoni has been promoted to associate head coach for defense.  Offensive coordinator Roy Wittke has been promoted toassociate head coach for offense. 

Louisiana-Lafayette: FootballScoop has learned that Eastern Illinois special teams coach Justin Lustig will join the staff at ULL.

Millsaps College: We hear Southern University (LA) graduate assistant Adam Nelson will be joining the Millsaps' staff as wide receivers coach.

South Dakota: Quarterbacks coach Wesley Beschorner has been promoted to offensive coordinator. 

Valparaiso: Former Eastern Michigan defensive line coach Robert Lee is joining the Valpo staff as defensive assistant / special teams coordinator. 


Defiance College: an NCAA D-III institution located in NW Ohio, seeks qualified applicants for a graduate assistant football coaching position. Responsibilities will include coaching on the offense, all aspects of recruiting, assist with film breakdown, game and practice preparation which includes video cut-ups, serve as an assistant for equipment, and assist head coach in other duties as requested, and other administrative duties as assigned.  This is a two-year assistantship that requires a bachelor's degree, admission to the graduate program in Education at Defiance College, and collegiate playing/coaching experience. Start date is August 1, 2009. Arizona: As we reported two weeks ago, Arizona has officially announced the hiring of former Memphis assistant Garret Chachere.  Chachere will serve as the wide receivers coach for the Wildcats.

Central Methodist University: is not longer accepting applications for the GA position.

Clemson: We hear former Tennessee assistant Dan Brooks has been hired to coach the defensive tackles.

Fordham: We hear assistant coach Ryan Fullen has switched from running backs to defensive secondary.

Michigan Tech: David Sartin is the new offensive line coach.  Sartin joins the staff after serving as the assistant offensive line coach at Grand Valley State.

College of San Mateo: Larry Owens has resigned as head coach.  Bret Pollack is taking over as head coach.  Pollack served as assistant head coach / offensive coordinator last season.

Defiance College: Former Defiance College player Nate Jensen has been hired as defensive coordinator.  Jensen coach the last several years at Manchester University.

Fordham: Recapping the Fordham adjustments: Bryan Volk has been promoted to offensive coordinator / quarterbacks.  Patrick Moore will serve as defensive coordinator / linebackers coach.  Former Oregon graduate assistant Eddy Morrissey is the new offensive line coach.  Former UCONN offensive graduate assistant John Wholley is the new running backs / inside receivers coach.

Kentucky State: We hear there could be movement on the offensive side as Kentucky State.

New York Jets: Former Delta State offensive coordinator Mike Bloomgren has joined the staff as offensive assistant.    


Trinity University: Defensive Assistant Coach of Football (Preferably Secondary).  The position is a full-time, ten month contract staff appointment beginning August 1, 2009.  Duties include planning and implementing all activities for the defensive team for practice and games, recruiting, second assignment in the Dept. of Athletics, and teaching an activity class for the Dept.of P.E.  Compensation will be approximately $18,000 and includes full benefits.  The position reports to Head Coach of Football.  Qualifications include baccalaureate degree and 3 years of college coaching experience in the sport of football.  Letter of application, resume and three names of references are required for consideration.  Deadline for applications:  April 15th.   Please forward application materials by fax, email or mail to Steve Mohr, Chair of Search Committee for Assistant Coach of Football, Trinity University, One Trinity Place, San Antonio, TX 78212-7200.
