Happy New Year! Very proud to report that December was our largest month ever. Visits were up nearly 100% over November and sailed well beyond 2011 records. Thank you!

Texas: Sources have confirmed to us that Arizona State running backs coach Larry Porter will be the new running backs coach at Texas.

Southern Miss: Sources tell us a few more guys are now joining the staff. We hear Oklahoma State defensive grad assistant Andrew Thacker will join the staff as safeties coach. West Virginia defensive grad assistant Jeff Horrocks will join as special teams / offensive grad assistant and Oklahoma State offensive quality control Brian Hudson will serve in an offensive quality control role. Steve Buckley has been retained and will have an interesting role we hear...we hear he will count as one of the nine and serve as recruiting coordinator. Concept makes a lot of sense given the rest of the staff composition.

Jacksonville State (FCS - AL): Sources close to the situation tell us Bill Clark's staff is now complete. Here's what we hear... John Grass (Oxford High) as offensive coordinator, Jody Wright (Alabama) as running backs / recruiting coordinator, Mike Bennefield (Slocumb HS) as offensive line, Cornelius Williams (North Alabama) as receivers, Jimmy Ogle (Jacksonville State) as tight ends... Dejuan Walker (South Alabama) as defensive coordinator / safeties, Chuck Dunn (Charles Henderson HS) as inside linebackers, David Reeves (Tennessee Martin) as defensive line, Darrick Riley (Newberry College) as outside linebackers and Blake Shrader as corners.

Lake Forest College (D-III - IL): Sources tell us the offensive coordinator role remains unfilled is not open at this time (shifting staff responsibilities around); but we also hear former Lindsay Wilson grad assistant Luke Butts has joined the staff as defensive backs / special teams coordinator.

UC Davis (FCS): Sources tell us that former Cal offensive assistant Ben Steele will join the UC Davis staff as tight ends / recruiting coordinator. Steele played tight end in the league.

Arizona Cardinals: Mutliple NFL reporters are relaying that Andy Reid could be named head coach of the Cardinals very soon. Although we also just saw this tweet

UCLA: Sources tell us special teams grad assistant Taylor Mazzone will be named Y receivers coach.

Detroit Lions: Multiple outlets are reporting that offensive line coach George Yarno will not return.

East Coast Prep (post grad): East Coast Prep, located in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, is seeking 4 assistant coaches for the 2013 season. You will coach your own position and have off field duties assigned by the head coach. Compensation includes room and board as well as a stipend. This is a 4 month position (August-December). We have narrowed our search but will still consider the right candidate. We will be conducting scheduled interviews in Nashville on January 7 & 8. We are looking for college experience. Penn State: Nearly everyone is reporting that Bill O'Brien will interview for NFL jobs. The way it is being reported sure does make one believe he will leave. No leverage to gain at Penn State...already has everything possible in his contract. We'll keep you posted.

Detroit Lions: Despite a report to the contrary yesterday, sources tell us Lions tight ends coach Tim Lappano will remain with the staff for next season.

Buffalo Bills: Russ Brandon has been named the team's President / CEO. GM Buddy Nix will remain with the team; but there is a plan in place for Doug Whaley to transition into the role of GM.

Recruiting is so time-consuming. Check out Go Big Recruiting or stop by Booth 577 at the AFCA next week to find out how we can help you in your specific area. Save yourself some time today!

The 7 announced are: Kolby Smith (RBs), Mike Summers (OL), Lamar Thomas (WRs), L.D. Scott (DTs), Kevin Peoples (DEs / recruiting coordinator), Mike Cassity (secondary) and Ricky Brumfield (corners / special teams coordinator).
