Let us know what you hear. Since 1999, all sources remain confidential. [email protected] or call / text 225.229.3429

Averett University (DIII - VA): Offensive line coach Dan Newell has been promoted to offensive coordinator.

Southeastern LA: We have confirmed that Delta State head coach Ron Roberts will be named head coach at Southeastern tomorrow.

Arkansas State: Gus Malzahn has retained interim head coach David Gunn.

Penn State: Joe Schad is reporting that Baylor safeties coach Brian Norwood is a candidate (in addition to Hawaii - see below). Multiple sources tell us Penn State representatives have tried to get together in person with Mario Cristobal.

Montreal Alouettes: Sources tell us Hampton offensive line coach Jason Eck has interviewed for the job.

Pitt: We have learned that Pitt offered the job to Mario Cristobal last night. Cristobal, we are told, asked that they pause the discussions until after FIU's bowl game (Tuesday night). Class move.

Missouri: We have confirmed that Wyoming defensive backs coach Alex Grinch is joining the Tigers staff.

Colorado State: Sources close to the program tell us the guys with the best chance of being retained are secondary coach Tim Duffie and tight ends coach Anthoney Hill; but neither have an offer yet. We hear it's unlikely that any of the other staff will be retained.

Hawaii: Three guys are interviewing today. Oregon State defensive coordinator Mark Banker, Texas defensive backs coach Duane Akina and Baylor safeties coach Brian Norwood.

Nebraska: Sources close to the program tell us Bo Pelini has targeted Iowa defensive line coach Rick Kaczenski to fill the defensive opening he has. We continue to hear that John Papuchis will be named defensive coordinator.

Colorado State: Sources tell us that Jim McElwain has also spoken with Miles College head coach Reginald Ruffin about joining the staff at CSU (in addition to SMU defensive coordinator Tom Mason...see below). We expect at least 2 grad assistant / quality control guys from Alabama to join the staff.
