Valdosta State: Bobby Stiner will fill the graduate assistant position at Valdosta State.  Stiner previously served as an intern at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado.

University of Tulsa: Strength and Conditioning Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Strength and Conditioning Intern for Summer 2009.  Responsibilities will include: Assisting with the supervision and implementation of strength training programs, teaching student athletes proper lifting techniques and use of equipment, daily maintenance of weight room and equipment, and completion of projects and assignments throughout semester.  Compensation will include: $1000/month for the months of June and July, Division I collegiate experience, course credit (if applicable), and recommendation for future career opportunities.  Qualifications are: bachelor's degree or someone who needs internship hours to complete degree qualifications, a strong desire to work in the strength and conditioning profession.   Applicants should be CPR/First Aid certified.  Interested applicants should submit a resume and

Western Illinois University: Strength and Conditioning Department is currently accepting applications for full-time strength and conditioning interns for the summer 2009 and 2009/2010 academic semesters.  Responsibilities include assisting the head strength and conditioning coach in all aspects of developing and implementing strength, speed/agility, conditioning, flexibility, and recuperative programs for 20 intercollegiate athletic teams.  Additional responsibilities will be to provide daily weight room supervision, daily upkeep and maintenance of equipment, assist with and conduct periodic performance and strength testing, completion of internship curriculum, and other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Applicants must have a strong work ethic and desire to become a strength and conditioning professional.  Candidates should be enrolled in or completing their degree in an Exercise Science undergraduate/graduate program and should be certified in CPR/AED and be working towards certification from any of the following organizations: NSCA, CSCCa, USAW, ACSM, or NASM.  Previous experience in strength and conditioning in an intercollegiate athletics environment preferred. Missouri State: Our sources tell us Western Kentucky assistant strength coach Todd Riedel has been hired as assistant director of strength & conditioning. 

New York Jets: Former Cleveland Browns assistant Ryan Cidzik has joined the Jets' strength staff.  Former Everton FC (Liverpoool Soccer) strength coach Kyle Thorne has also joined the strength staff.

Charleston Southern University: This is an un-paid internship that gives a person the chance to work with an NCAA Division I athletics program.  You will get the chance to learn about many different styles of strength training programs at the college level.  You will get hands on experience in working with college athletes during their in & off seasons.  You will also be exposed to speed development and conditioning programs for different sports.  If you are interested please contact Coach Jacobi via email at
