Florida Atlantic University: The Strength and Conditioning staff at FAU cordially invites you to the FAU Strength and Conditioning clinic on Saturday, May 30, 2009. This one-day seminar will provide you with information on various styles of training, how to incorporate and apply them into your program properly, and the importance of different nutritional aspects such as content, type, and timing of nutrient consumption to help aid in recovery and speed athletic improvement. Camp Director & FAU's Head Strength & Conditioning Coach, Matt Pleskovic will lead the clinic with his assistants. The schedule will consist of:
- Registration @ 9:30 am
- Introduction @ 9:50 am
- Session 1: Strength Training Techniques @ 10:00 am
- Session 2: Acceleration/Speed Development @ 11:00 am
- Lunch (Provided) @ 12:00 pm
- Session 3: Nutrition & Supplementation @ 1:00 pm
- Session 4: Q&A Session @ 1:45 pm
- Session 5: Weight Room Hands-On Technique Work

Eastern Illinois: We are hearing that Presbyterian College (SC) strength coach Eric Cash has accepted the head strength & conditioning job at Eastern Illinois.

Hawaii: Our sources tell us that former Iowa linebacker Grant Steen is expected to accept the GA strength job at Hawaii. We hear Kenny Esquievel is also likely to join the staff.

South Alabama: The Strength and Conditioning staff at the University of South Alabama would like to invite you to the first University of South Alabama Strength and Conditioning Camp on May 23, 2009. This one-day seminar will provide you with information on different styles of training and how to incorporate them into your program. Founder of Westside Barbell, Louie Simmons, will be speaking on several different aspects of training, including implementation of conjugate periodization, importance of max effort training, the box squat as it pertains to power development, and speed-strength/strength speed development. The Assistant Strength and Conditioning coach at Mississippi State University, Erik Korem, will be speaking on linear speed development. To conclude the day, the University of South Alabama's Head Football Strength and Conditioning coach, Justin Schwind, will be speaking on the importance of incorporating competition into your off-season program. The schedule will consist of:
- Registration from 8am to 8:30
- Morning session from 8:30-12pm
- Lunch from 12-1:15
- Afternoon session from 1:15-4:45
- Conclude the day with a Q&A session from 4:45-5pm.

Virginia: Michigan strength coach Mike Curtis is leaving Ann Harbor to accept a position at his alma mater, the University of Virginia. Curtis directed the Michigan basketball strength development. He will now head up the development with the UVA basketball program.
