Youngstown State University: seeks applicants for the position of Strength and Conditioning Intern for the Spring '10 semester. This internship will provide an intensive, hands-on approach to the principles and methods of strength & conditioning covered in a modern sports performance program. Responsibilities:  Strength Intern will be responsible to assist the Strength and Condition Staff in all aspects of need. Recording of data, transference of data, spotting and safety duties,  maintenance of the strength training facility and other duties assigned by the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach or related staff. Qualifications:  Bachelor's Degree required, First Aid and CPR certified. Certified or working toward the CSCS or other certification and Division I coaching experience. This position requires background knowledge in Kinesiology or a related field and as well as the ability to teach exercise safety as well as enforce weight room rules and regulations. Intermediate computer skills required. Good verbal communication a must. Applications will be accepted until position is filled. Compensation: 5 month contract. Arizona State University: Sports Performance Internship. Job Description: Assist the sports performance staff in the day-to-day operations of the Arizona State University varsity weight rooms. Duties will include but are not limited to; assist the sports performance staff in the implementation of strength and conditioning programs for 21 varsity sports, instruct safe and proper execution of all facets of sports performance, and assist in the maintenance and upkeep of the facility. Qualifications: Pursuing Bachelors or Masters degree in exercise science or a related field.  Experience in a collegiate setting, and a strong desire to become a strength and conditioning coach at the collegiate level. Certification or working towards certifications with the NSCA-CSCS, CSCCa, and/or USAW. Compensation: This is an unpaid position. The program is designed for the post bachelor professional looking for experience working in a scientifically based and innovative strength-training program. Position is Un-Paid. Ideal candidates will have a certification from one of the following. (NSCA, CSCS; CSCCA, SCCC; USAW) Daily responsibilities include: 1. Assisting with supervision and execution of strength training programs. 2. Teaching student-athletes proper techniques and equipment use. 3. Missouri State University: Department of Strength & Conditioning is accepting applications for Strength and Conditioning Interns and/or Volunteer Assistants for Spring Semester 2010.  Responsibilities include: Assisting with the supervision and training of MSU's 16 Division1 intercollegiate athletic programs; Assisting with daily administrative and maintenance items; Completion of various educational assignments during the internship.  Qualifications include: Strong work ethic; Punctuality; Enthusiasm; Desire to further one's career in the field of Strength & Conditioning.  Preferred qualifications include: Perusing Bachelors or Masters Degree in Physical Education, Exercise Science or related field; NSCA-CPT, CSCS, SCCC, or USAW certifications; CPR certification and coaching experience.  Individuals chosen for position are subject to university background checks and standard hiring procedures.
