Samford: Samford University athletics welcomes applicants for the position of VOLUNTEER performance nutrition intern. This is an UNPAID position that will report directly to the Director of Performance Nutrition. POSITION DESCRIPTION: This position will report directly to the Director of Performance Nutrition assisting in pre and post workout supplementation for all sports, managing fueling stations for various sports, staffing for 2 performance nutrition centers, supply and inventory of nutrition products, and assisting with the menu selection and meal monitoring for all athletes. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: All candidates must have an undergraduate degree in nutrition pursuing a RD license. We are seeking candidates who are highly motivated and wish to pursue a career as a RD in athletics. Northwestern: Northwestern University Sports Performance has an opening for an Olympic Sports Intern for Fall 2013. This is an unpaid volunteer position working with male and female athletes across 18 teams. Candidates should be pursuing a career as a collegiate strength and conditioning coach or a similar field. Candidates should be dedicated, hardworking, and outgoing and will be expected to assist in daily facility duties, execution of team workouts, and complete assignments pertaining to the field. Positions are open to all applicants but past collegiate weight room experience and certifications are preferred. Candidates are expected to uphold rules and regulations set forth by the NCAA and Big Ten conference. Maryland: The University of Maryland Olympic Sports Strength and Conditioning Staff is seeking highly motivated, hardworking candidates for a strength and conditioning internship for the Fall 2013 Semester. Duties will include assisting the strength and conditioning staff with all aspects of the athletic performance program as well as daily maintenance of weight room and facilities. This is an unpaid position, living and transportation arrangements will not be provided.
