Maine: The University of Maine athletic department currently has a restricted earnings strength and conditioning assistant position available. The temporary position is includes an $8000 stipend (no benefits/meals/housing included). Program design and implement directly with baseball, women's soccer, along with assisting in football and other sports as needed. The Citadel: The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, is currently accepting applications for two volunteer Strength & Conditioning (S&C) internship positions. The internship will last for the duration of the fall semester, August 20 – December 12, 2014. These are unpaid positions. Interns will gain practical experience working in a Division I S&C environment with exposure to training, programming, and coaching. Other benefits include possible future references, course credit, and gear when available. Minimum requirements include certifications in CPR, AED, and First Aid, a strong work ethic, a desire to become an industry professional, the ability to adjust to a demanding work schedule, and effective communication skills in a group setting. Candidates must need this internship for college requirement/course credit. The ideal candidate will be pursuing a degree in Exercise Science or related field. Other preferred qualifications include certification from a recognized governing body, (NSCA, ACSM, USAW, CSCCa, etc.), previous intern or coaching experience, personal involvement in a competitive sport, and proficiency with Microsoft Office programs. Murray State: Murray State University, is seeking qualified applicants for a (2) Interns / Volunteer Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach with Murray State at University Athletics for the 2014-2015 season. This is a 9 month, volunteer position that will begin in August  and end in May   (semester internships also available). There may be opportunities to make income through camps, clinics and also on-campus jobs. Internships are currently available for the 2014-2015 school year for graduate students or graduating seniors. Interns will have the opportunity to gain college credit towards graduation, if applicable, as well as valuable professional experience in the field of strength & conditioning. Duties include: assist Head Strength and Conditioning Coach in designing and implementing programs all 13 Varsity sports including strength, speed, agility, flexibility, nutrition, and conditioning; teach proper technique and safety; assist in set up and break down of equipment, day to day monitoring, cleaning, and maintenance of the weight room and equipment; proper communication with athletes, coaches, and athletic trainers; implement and enforce rules, policies, and procedures of the weight room; serve as a positive role model to all DSU athletes; and any other duties as assigned by the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. Kennesaw State: The Kennesaw State University OLYMPIC Sport Performance is looking for a highly motivated individual to fill one (1) of two (2) VOLUNTEER Assistant positions for the FALL 2014 semester to begin on August 11, 2014. Kennesaw State University Olympic Sports compete at the Division 1 level in the Atlantic Sun Conference. Qualifications: Individuals applying must be willing to work 40+ hours per week, possess or working towards one of the major certifications (USAW, CSCS, SCCC), graduated with or in their last semester of undergraduate studies in exercise physiology or related field, willing to complete the full internship experience with adherence to standards of the Kennesaw State University Sport Performance Department, Kennesaw State University Athletics Association, and Kennesaw State University.
