Washburn (D-II - KS): Washburn University Sports Performance is accepting applications for an Intern/Graduate Assistant in Strength and Conditioning for the Fall of 2012. Responsibilities include: assisting with the supervision and design of individual and/or team training; assisting with daily administrative and maintenance tasks; completion of various educational assignments. North Texas: The University of North Texas is looking for qualified candidates to fill Fall Internships for 2012. This is an unpaid internship position. Iowa: Lindsay Dinkelman and Landon Evans have been named assistant strength & conditioning coaches at the University of Iowa and will work with the Olympic sports. Dinkelman was a former sports performance assistant at Purdue while Evans served as the director of sports nutrition / and an assistant strength coach at Illinois State.
Cumberland Unive rsity (TN): Ryan Cotton, a former intern at Georgia Tech, has been hired as a grad assitant at Cumberland.
Virginia Tech: Ryan Schuman, a grad assistant with Virginia Tech's football strength & conditioning program, has been named assistant coach for olympic sports strength & conditioning. Former players Mark Muncey and John Graves have been hired as grad assistants for the football strength program.
Fresno State: Fresno State Athletics is looking to fill its $12,000 paid strength and conditioning internship position. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: the provided supervision and instruction on safe equipment usage; conduct periodic fitness evaluations; assist in the implementation of strength and conditioning programs for football and other Olympic sports; assist with the day to day cleaning, maintenance and operation of the strength and conditioning complex; assist with recruiting, and other duties related to the operation of a strength and conditioning program for collegiate athletes. West Virginia: We hear that former University of West Florida strength and conditioning assistant Nick Presley has been hired as an assistant strength coach at West Virginia.
Thomas University (NAIA - GA): Thomas University Strength and Conditioning Department is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Graduate Assistant. Kennesaw State: Kennesaw State University seeks applicants for the position of Strength and Conditioning Intern / Volunteer for the Fall & Spring ’12 semester. Responsibilities: Successful candidates will assist in organizing, implementing of the Kennesaw State Advantage Program. This includes but is not limited to the areas of movement assessment, exercise technique progression, dynamic warm-up, speed & movement training, strength training, soft tissue / flexibility, and performance testing for all student-athletes.
