Robert E. Lee ISD (TX): Richard Compton, who formerly served in the strength and conditioning department at Texas A&M Kingsville, has been named the first head strength and conditioning for Robert E. Lee ISD.

Morgan State (FSC - MD): Morgan State University Strength and Conditioning Department is currently accepting applications for Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. Morgan State University competes at the NCAA Division I level, and is a member of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. Football competes in the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision. Applicant will assist the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach with all aspects of strength and conditioning department including design, implementation and supervision of strength and conditioning programs for 3-5 teams as assigned by the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. The applicant will also assist with football. He or she must also be able to demonstrate and teach all Olympic lifts and have a strong work ethic as well as strong communication and motivational skills. Qualifications: (Required) - Bachelor’s degree in physical education, exercise science or related field, Masters degree preferred; CSCS or SCCC certification; CPR and First Aid certifications; 2 years college coaching experience. Mississippi State: Mississippi State University Strength & Conditioning Department is accepting applications for the position of Strength and Conditioning Volunteer Intern for both Football and Olympic Sports for the Spring 2014 semester. The successful candidate will be required to schedule and maintain a minimum of 40 hours per week with the Strength & Conditioning Department. The program is designed for undergraduate students and the post bachelor professional looking for experience. The daily responsibilities will include: Assisting with supervision of strength training programs; Attending to the daily maintenance of the training facilities; Participation in weekly projects and assignments throughout the internship program. Compensation: Division 1 experience with earned recommendation for future career opportunities. No monetary compensation will be provided. Qualifications: Must have a strong work-ethic and have a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional. Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree and a certification from one of the following: NSCA, CSCS; CSCCA, SCCC; USAW. Tulsa: Samford strength and conditioning intern Claus Antunes has accepted a grad assistant position at Tulsa.

New Mexico: Scott Lucas has been hired as an assistant strength coach with the Lobos.

Campbell University: Andrew Crossely is now an assistant strength coach and will work primarily with the basketball program. 

Brown: Jake Roy has been hired as an assistant strength coach on the Brown Bears staff.

UNC-Charlotte: Jimmy Duba has been hired as the new director of strength and conditioning.

Arizona: Troy Ramsey has joined the Wildcats strength staff after spending the last season at Colorado.

Seattle University: Seattle University has an opening for a graduate assistant. The candidate will be responsible for assisting the coordinators of strength and conditioning in program design and implementation. Will assist coordinators in assigned sports and be head strength and conditioning coach for select teams. Graduate Assistant duties include but are not limited to: sport assignments; provide proper instruction for safe and effective lifting techniques and equipment usage; assist in the maintenance and daily upkeep of the Athletic Performance Center; and any other responsibilities assigned by supervisors. Candidate must adhere to all university, WAC, and NCAA Division I regulations. Candidate must also have a strong desire to work in collegiate strength and conditioning post-graduation. The Richard Stockton College of NJ (D-III): Christian Allen has been hired as the new head strength and conditioning coach. Allen previously served as an intern strength assistant with the Philadelphia Eagles, the University of South Florida, and Villanova University.

Seattle University: Alex Keough and Wes Phillips have been hired as coordinators of strength and conditioning at Seattle University. Keough previously served as both an intern and a full time assistant at Seattle and interned at the Universities of Washington and Montana, and Phillips has interned with Stanford, the Seattle Storm, and has had a season job with the Miami Marlins of minor league baseball.

Mercer: Mercer University Football, a Division I FCS member of the Pioneer Football League and future member of the Southern Conference, is currently accepting applications for the position of one (1) Intern Strength Coach. The position is responsible for assisting the Director of Strength & Conditioning in all departmental functions. Duties will include assisting with Mercer University Football’s first ever Inseason Strength & Conditioning Program in brand new 5,000 square foot weight room and field house, as well as writing and implementing Strength program for one (1) assigned collegiate team. Qualifications required are experience with teaching and demonstrating the Olympic lifts, Power lifts and other movements to collegiate teams; 6+ months experience in writing and implementing sports performance team work outs; first aid and CPR certified; an accredited certification (preferably CSCS, USAW, or SCCC). Applicants should have a strong desire to pursue a career as a full time, collegiate strength & conditioning coach. Position primarily needed to assist with Football and Lacrosse, and be fully responsible for one of the assigned teams (M&W Tennis, M&W Golf, Cross Country, Cheer; but not limited to only these sports). Individuals will gain experience in a division I college strength & conditioning setting as well as future recommendations. College credit will be given as approved by their institution. Carleton College: The Carleton College Strength and Conditioning Department is looking for one volunteer (UNPAID) strength and conditioning intern for the fall 2013 trimester. Internship will begin September 9th and go to December 1, 2013. Qualifications: Completed or working towards Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science or related field. Desire to pursue career as a strength and conditioning coach, a strong work ethic, familiarity with the Olympic Lifts, working toward CSCS or SCCC certification, and CPR/AED Certified. Responsibilities: Setup and breakdown of equipment for training sessions, assisting strength and conditioning coaches with warm-ups, coaching proper lifting form and technique, and weight room maintenance. Possibility of designing and implementing programs for assigned teams. Interns will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the field as well as fulfill school internship hours if necessary. Carleton College is located approximately 30 Miles from the Twin Cities so there are numerous part-time employment opportunities close by. Miami (FL): There are currently no open positions on the strength staff.

Old Dominion: Former Miami (FL) assistant strength coach Alex Paarr is now working with the ODU basketball team.

Eastern Washington: Eastern Washington is looking for an assistant AD for athletic performance. This position will serve in an advisory role to the Athletic Director in evaluating all aspects of strength and conditioning for all student-athletes and to provide insight into possible improvements that can be made for all. Screening to Begin: 08-26-2013. Term of Appointment: July 1 - June 30 annually. Required Degree: Bachelor's Degree Degree required by: Start Date Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with a minimum of three (3) years experience working in collegiate Strength and Conditioning, professional sports or a related area. Experience must include working with both men and women student athletes and football. Must possess one of the following certifications: 1.CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) 2.SCCC (Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified) Also needs to be First Aid/CPR/AED certified within the first 30 days of employment.
