University of Louisiana at Monroe: has an opening for a Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. ULM is an NCAA Division I University competing in the Sunbelt Conference. The position is Full-time for 12 months to begin August 1, 2008, which includes tuition, and monthly stipend. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and at least one year of collegiate strength and conditioning coaching experience is required. Successful candidate must be accepted into graduate school and will be required to obtain CPR/First Aid certification. Ability to work well with students, faculty, community and media is required. Demonstrated understanding of a strong commitment to cultural diversity is required as well as good communication skills, strong leadership skills, and organizational skills. Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or (SCCC) credentials preferred. Responsibilities: Assist in the design and implementation of training protocols for 14 teams and approximately 300 student-athletes, assist the athletic training staff in rehabilitation and injury prevention as needed, supervise the workout sessions of each team, instruct proper lifting techniques for strength and conditioning, supervise volunteers and interns, and ensure safe operation and professional supervision of the facility. Midwestern State University: Located in Wichita Falls, TX is a NCAA Division II University in the Lone Star Conference is seeking qualified applicants for a graduate assistant position for Strength & Conditioning. POSITION TO BE FILLED IMMEDIATELY! Compensation: This is a paid position with tuition benefits. Qualifications: A bachelor's degree is required, and acceptance into the graduate program. Practical knowledge of exercise technique instruction is preferred. Good verbal and non-verbal communication skills are a must. Knowledge of conjugate periodization training is a plus. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a high level of independence and confidence when working with student athletes.
