University of Iowa: Iowa is set to hire Seth Diters as the full time paid intern for Olympic Sports.  Diters will join the staff from Springfield College.

University of South Florida: Strength and Conditioning Intern.  USF is a proud member of the Big East conference and has immediate openings for Winter 2008 intern positions.  The intern positions begin January 7 and extend through May 15.  All applications must be received by November 31.  This is an unpaid position. The candidate will receive Division I Intercollegiate experience, gear, internship manual, and earned recommendation toward further success as a Strength & Conditioning Coach.  The successful candidates will be required to schedule and maintain a minimum of 15-30 hours per week with the Strength and Conditioning Department. The daily responsibilities will include: 1. Assisting with supervision and execution of strength training programs; for assigned teams. 2. Teaching student athletes proper lifting techniques and equipment use. 3. Attending to the daily maintenance of the training facilities. 4. Georgia Southern: Brandon Howard has been hired as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Georgia Southern. Howard joins the Eagles staff following two years at Utah State.  Howard graduated from East Carolina in 2005.

Alabama State University: Alabama State University is seeking applications for a Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach to assist with all aspects of training 13 Division I athletic teams. The position requires admittance into the graduate program at Alabama State University. In-State tuition waiver, possible books, and an undisclosed stipend will be provided to the successful candidate.  Qualifications: Strong work ethic, great energy and enthusiasm, and a desire to pursue a career in strength and conditioning. A Bachelor's degree in exercise science, or related field, and full admittance into the graduate program is required. Northern Arizona University: Strength & Conditioning Department is accepting applications for the position of Strength and Conditioning Paid Intern for the Spring semester. The successful candidate will be required to work irregular hours and weekends with the strength & conditioning department. The program is designed for the post bachelor professional looking for experience.  The daily responsibilities will include: 1. Assisting with supervision and execution of strength training programs 2. Teaching student athletes proper techniques and equipment use 3. Attending to the daily maintenance of the training facilities 4. Participation in weekly projects and assignments throughout the internship program.  Compensation: This is a temporary position without expectation of continued employment. This position will pay $325 per month with no benefits or relocation assistance. Division 1 experience with earned recommendation for future career opportunities is also provided.   Time Line of Internship: January 19, through May 15, 2009.  Qualifications: Must have a strong work-ethic, high levels of energy and have a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional. Colgate University: Is now accepting applications for strength and conditioning internships for the 2009 academic semesters. Interns will assist the strength and conditioning staff in the day-to-day operations of the Colgate University Varsity Weight Room. Duties will include but are not limited to; assisting the sports performance staff in implementing strength and conditioning programs for 25 varsity sports, instruct safe and proper execution of all facets of sports performance, and assist in the maintenance and upkeep of the facility as well as other duties as needed.  Start Date: Ongoing fall and spring semester internships.  How to apply E-mail cover letter, resume, and references to <This email address is being protected from spambots.
