Missouri: The University Of Missouri Department Of Athletic Performance is now accepting applications for the position of Volunteer Intern with 6 positions available. Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assistance of supervision for daily activities, set up and break down for daily activities, routine maintenance, weekly projects and reports, and assistance with execution of workout design and implementation for various sports. There is no monetary compensation provided, however, there will be opportunities for professional development. All prospective interns are expected to have outstanding work ethic, energy, enthusiasm and attention to detail. Certified individuals are preferred, but it is not a requirement. St. Leo University (D-II - FL): Saint Leo University, an NCAA Division II institution and member of the Sunshine State Conference, is currently accepting internship applications for the Fall 2013 and Spring 2014 semesters. Qualified candidates should be planning on pursuing a career in Strength and Conditioning. This 17 week internship will afford candidates the opportunity to acquire hands-on experience and knowledge while becoming a positive asset to Saint Leo University and its student-athletes. Primary Responsibilities: Assist with the supervision and execution of training programs, Assist with daily administrative and maintenance duties involved in the program and facility, Complete various educational assignments and weekly projects, Teach student-athletes proper technique and equipment use, Maintain a journal and develop strength and conditioning portfolio while being responsible for one or more sports team TBD by your comprehension, prior experience, knowledge, and skill level. Qualifications: Strong work ethic, punctual, and enthusiastic, Junior or Senior, working towards completion of a Bachelor’s degree, as well as working toward a certification with CSCCA or NSCA. Compensation: This is an UNPAID internship but free apparel will be provided to the student during participation. The ability to earn class credit towards graduation requirements is also available. Thomas University (NAIA - GA): Thomas University Strength and Conditioning Department is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Graduate Assistant. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: design and implementation of sport specific strength and conditioning programs for assigned teams; demonstration and instruction of Olympic weightlifting techniques; supervise during team workouts, individual workouts, and open hours; assist with the maintenance and upkeep of the facility.
