South Dakota State University: is accepting applications for a Graduate Assistant position in Strength and Conditioning.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting in design and implementation of Strength & Conditioning programs for assigned sports. Provide proper instruction for safe and effective lifting techniques and equipment usage. Supervising weight room day-to-day activities and conduct periodic performance & strength testing.  Qualifications: Candidates must have a bachelor's degree with an emphasis in sports sciences, CPR certification and certified or working to be certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association(NSCA) or Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCC).  In order to be awarded the position the candidate must be admitted to graduate school at South Dakota State University.  Compensation includes 2/3 tuition waiver and a monthly stipend. Previous strength coaching experience preferred.  Previous athletic experience preferred.  Olympic Lifting experience preferred.  Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Access strongly recommended. Consideration will be given to individuals who possess strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills with

North Dakota State University: Strength & Conditioning Department is actively seeking interested students to fulfill internship positions within our program for summer, fall and spring.  Interns can expect to gain valuable, hands on experience in areas such as program design, exercise instruction, plyometric, speed and agility techniques, conditioning, facility and athlete management.  Internship responsibilities will vary and will include various duties within the NDSU Strength & Conditioning Department.  Hours will vary throughout the semester and may include early morning, late afternoon, or weekend hours.  The quality of the interns experience is directly related to the effort and commitment that is put forth.  Student's who ask questions, get involved and make an effort to go above and beyond will be rewarded with a successful experience.  Requirements: Graduate or undergraduate students working towards a degree in exercise science or a related field.  Must have a strong desire to pursue a career in strength and conditioning. Baylor: We hear Valdosta State grad assistant Andrew Althoff has accepted an assistant position on the staff at Baylor University.

Harvard: Former Iowa assistant James Frazier has accepted the director of strength & conditioning job at Harvard. 

Valdosta State University: is seeking applicants for the position of Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach.  This individuals report directly to the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. RESPONSIBILITIES:  Assisting with the supervision of eleven sports.  Ensure safe and effective lifting techniques.  Demonstrate basic knowledge in all areas of the strength and field.  Attend to the everyday needs of facility maintenance and operations.  EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:  Bachelors degree in exercise science or related field.  At least one year experience in an intercollegiate strength and conditioning program, U.S.A.W., C.S.C.S. or S.C.C.C. certification preferred.  COMPENSATION:  Ten-month position with tuition, books and a stipend. Females and minorities are strongly encouraged to apply.  Resumes should be sent to Michael Doscher.  VSU Strength and Conditioning, New Football Facility, 1500 N Patterson St, Valdosta, GA 31698.
