Baylor University: Department of Athletic Performance is accepting applications for Summer 2009 Strength and Conditioning Interns. Intern responsibilities include: Assisting with the supervision of training programs; Assisting with daily administrative and maintenance items; Completion of various educational assignments during the internship. Intern qualifications include: Strong work ethic; Punctuality; Enthusiasm; Desire to further one's career in the strength and conditioning field; Ability to volunteer a minimum of 20 hours per week. Preferred qualifications include: Senior status or completion of a bachelor's degree in exercise science or related field; CSCS, SCCC, or USAW certification; CPR certification. This is an unpaid internship. Interns will receive experience working within a Big 12 Football strength and conditioning summer program, have the potential to earn recommendations for future career opportunities, and receive college credit if applicable. Valdosta State: Bobby Stiner will fill the graduate assistant position at Valdosta State. Stiner previously served as an intern at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado.

University of Tulsa: Strength and Conditioning Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Strength and Conditioning Intern for Summer 2009. Responsibilities will include: Assisting with the supervision and implementation of strength training programs, teaching student athletes proper lifting techniques and use of equipment, daily maintenance of weight room and equipment, and completion of projects and assignments throughout semester. Compensation will include: $1000/month for the months of June and July, Division I collegiate experience, course credit (if applicable), and recommendation for future career opportunities. Qualifications are: bachelor's degree or someone who needs internship hours to complete degree qualifications, a strong desire to work in the strength and conditioning profession.
