Virginia: Our sources tell us that the head strength coach at Richmond is leaving for to accept the same position at Virginia.

USC: Former Southern Cal player and current Delta College assistant, Gary Hyman, is joining the USC strength & conditioning staff as an assistant.

Northern Arizona University: Strength & Conditioning Department has an immediate opening for the position of Strength and Conditioning Paid Intern for the Spring semester. The successful candidate will be required to work irregular hours and weekends with the strength & conditioning department. The program is designed for the post bachelor professional looking for experience. The daily responsibilities will include:  1.  Assisting with supervision and execution of strength training programs.  2.  Teaching student athletes proper techniques and equipment use.  3.  Attending to the daily maintenance of the training facilities  4.  Participation in weekly projects and assignments throughout the internship program - Compensation: This is a temporary position without expectation of continued employment. This position will pay $325 per month with no benefits or relocation assistance. Division 1 experience with earned recommendation for future career opportunities is also provided.  Time Line of Internship: ASAP, through May 15, 2009. Qualifications: Must have a strong work-ethic, high levels of energy and have a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional. Ideal candidates will have a bachelor's degree and a certification from one of the following: NSCA, CSCS; CSCCA, SCCC; USAW. South Florida: Lorenzo Guess will be joining the USF staff as an assistant strength Coach.  Lorenzo previously served as head strength & conditioning coach at Alcorn State University.  Guess was a two sport(Football/Basketball) athlete at Michigan State. 

JOB POSTING: 

University of South Florida: has an immediate opening for a coaching assistant position for the Spring Semester.  These positions are designed to give young coaches Division One strength and condition experience.  Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and NSCA or CSCCA certification.  Compensation will be housing and one meal per day. University of South Florida: is accepting resumes for a Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach position working primarily with Mens Basketball and Football.
