Buffalo State: Buffalo State College’s strength and conditioning department is accepting applications for the FALL 2014 Strength and Conditioning Internship Program. This is an unpaid position. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the strength and conditioning staff with the implementation of sport specific injury prevention, strength, speed, agility, flexibility, mobility, and conditioning program. Potential Candidates: Candidates should be pursuing or have completed a Bachelor’s in a related field and at least one of the following Certifications must be in progress: CSCS, SCCC, USAW. Menlo College (NAIA-CA): Menlo College Department of Athletic Performance is accepting applications for the FALL 2014 Athletic Performance Internship Program. This is an unpaid position. Lunch, Menlo Gear will be included. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the strength and conditioning staff with the implementation of sport specific injury prevention, strength, speed, agility, flexibility, mobility, and conditioning program. Baltimore Ravens: The Ravens have added Billy DeLorbe, who was previously a personal trainer at the Maryland Athletic Club, to the strength and conditioning staff.

Kennesaw State: Former Citadel assistant strength and conditioning coach Jim Kiritsy is now the director of sports performance at Kennesaw State.

West Florida: The University of West Florida is seeking a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach. The candidate must be highly motivated and have a strong desire to be a full time strength and conditioning coach. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, design and implementation of Strength & Conditioning programs for assigned sports, weight room supervision, communication with sport coaches and athletic trainers and other duties assigned by the head strength and conditioning coach. The GA position is a two year assignment beginning with the 2014-2015 academic year. It includes a tuition waiver towards graduate hours and a bi-weekly stipend. In order to be awarded the position the candidate must be admitted to graduate school at the University of West Florida. Previous collegiate coaching experience preferred. Eastern Washington: Eastern Washington University is seeking grad assistant strength coaches. The graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach at Eastern Washington University will be responsible for the program design and implementation of assigned sports and will assist with implementation of training as necessary. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: assisting the head and assistant strength and conditioning coaches with the design and implementation of training programs; weight room supervision; daily upkeep and maintenance of equipment; and other duties as assigned by the head strength and conditioning coach. Auburn: Auburn University is accepting applications for the position of Athletic Performance Volunteer Intern for Football. Auburn University competes at the NCCA Division 1 level, and is a member of the South Eastern Conference. Applicant will serve the football program as a non-counted coach. Daily responsibilities will include assisting with supervision and implementation of all aspects of the Athletic Performance program for football. There will also be a detailed internship curriculum that will help the intern further their knowledge in the field of Athletic Performance. Intern qualifications include: Bachelor’s Degree, Strong work ethic, Desire to learn, Enthusiasm, Punctual and have the Ability to finance an unpaid intern position. Preferred qualifications include: Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science or related field; Eligible to sit for the CSCS, SCCC, or USAW certification; CPR certification.      South Carolina's weight room philosopshy and the 'why" behind it

UAB: UAB Department of Strength & Conditioning is currently accepting applications for full-time intern positions for the summer semester. Successful candidates can expect to work full time for the duration of the internship starting May 5 and ending July 29th. Application for the internship at the UAB should include a cover letter, resume, and have a bachelor’s degree at an accredited institution. Ideal candidates will have or be working towards an Exercise Science related bachelor’s degree and at least one of the following certifications: CSCS; SCCC; USAW but are not required. Applications for the summer semester are due by April 1st. The intern must also be willing to work early mornings and late nights during the week and weekends. This is an UN- PAID position. Prior to starting the internship, successful candidates must be willing to complete a liability waiver and with the potential of undergoing a background check per UAB.
