University of Virginia: Internship Program - The University of Virginia Strength & Conditioning Department is accepting applications for the position of Football Performance Intern. The program is designed for the post bachelor professional looking for experience working in a scientifically based and innovative strength-training program. Position is Un-Paid. Ideal candidates will have a certification from one of the following. (NSCA, CSCS; CSCCA, SCCC; USAW) Daily responsibilities include: 1. Assisting with supervision and execution of strength training programs. 2. Teaching student-athletes proper techniques and equipment use. 3. Attending to the daily maintenance of the training facilities. 4. Participation in research and professional development. Inquiries must be received by:  November 20th for the Spring semester. Missouri State University: Department of Strength & Conditioning is accepting applications for Strength and Conditioning Interns and/or Volunteer Assistants for Spring Semester 2010.  Responsibilities include: Assisting with the supervision and training of MSU's 16 Division1 intercollegiate athletic programs; Assisting with daily administrative and maintenance items; Completion of various educational assignments during the internship.  Qualifications include: Strong work ethic; Punctuality; Enthusiasm; Desire to further one's career in the field of Strength & Conditioning.  Preferred qualifications include: Perusing Bachelors or Masters Degree in Physical Education, Exercise Science or related field; NSCA-CPT, CSCS, SCCC, or USAW certifications; CPR certification and coaching experience.  Individuals chosen for position are subject to university background checks and standard hiring procedures. Central CT State University: New Britain CT, Strength Grad Intern, Description: Assist Head Strength Coach with supervision of 21 D 1 (FCS) teams. Applicant will be responsible for design, implementation and
supervision of 2-4 teams as assigned by the Head Coach.  Applicant must possess good organizational and communication skills.  They must be able to demonstrate and teach all Olympic lifts. Qualifications: Must possess a bachelors degree in Exercise Science or fitness related area.  Prefer applicant to be CSCS or working towards certification.  Personal qualifications desired are a highly motivated individual that is professional and dependable.
