South Dakota State University: is accepting applications for a qualified, highly motivated Graduate Assistant in Strength and Conditioning.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting in design and implementation of Strength & Conditioning programs for assigned sports. Provide proper instruction for safe and effective lifting techniques and equipment usage. Supervising weight room day-to-day activities and conduct periodic performance & strength testing.  Qualifications: Candidates must have a bachelor's degree with an emphasis in sports sciences, CPR certification and certified or working to be certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association(NSCA) or Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCC).  In order to be awarded the position the candidate must be admitted to graduate school at South Dakota State University.  Compensation includes 2/3 tuition waiver and a monthly stipend. Previous strength coaching experience preferred.  Previous athletic experience preferred.  Olympic Lifting experience preferred.  Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Access strongly recommended. Washington Redskins: Former Houston Texans assistant Ray Wright has accepted the top strength position with the Redskins.

Buffalo Bills: Former Dolphins strength coach John Gamble will serve as coordinator of strength with the Bills along with Eric Ciano.

Baylor University: Department of Athletic Performance is accepting applications for Summer 2010 Athletic Performance Interns.  Intern responsibilities include: Assisting with the supervision of training programs; Assisting with daily administrative and maintenance items; Completion of various educational assignments during the internship.  Intern qualifications include: Strong work ethic; Punctuality; Enthusiasm; Desire to further one's career in the strength and conditioning field; Ability to volunteer a minimum of 20 hours per week.  Preferred qualifications include: Senior status or completion of a bachelor's degree in exercise science or related field; CSCS, SCCC, or USAW certification; CPR certification.
